Burning PSX images

I'm wanting to burn an image of a PSX game. For some reason I can only select the .cue and .iso files when trying to burn. The game in question has the .sub and .ccd files with it and I can't select them as part of the burn. So;

1. What are these files and what do they do?... and

2. Do I need them on the disk that I'm burning? (probably going to use emulator, but possibly a modded ps1 as well).
