is it just this plugin that you get an error like this?

The problem seems to be with atioglx2.dll. I guess this is related to the latest bugged OGL drivers for ATI.

Maybe changing back to older versions would help. (I don't remember wich though, was it Catalyst 7.x?)

8.5 worked for most people, anything before that but after 7.4 had broken OGL support.

the video plugin config? in the lower right hand corner of the plugin config menu there is a button that says "copy settings to clipboard", click that then paste the info into a post on here.

turn your x resolution down to 1, i dont think your card can support that current setting you have there. have you tried using the 8.5 drivers instead of the 8.6? i dont really know myself but maybe the 8.6 drivers still have some bugs in them or something. and im not sure if you saw my question earlier but is this the only plugin that this error shows up with? do the d3d or software plugins work fine?

The "low" settings produce an original PSX alike display, like a soft
gpu plugin.
The "high" settings double the resolution, producing a much nicer hires
screen.

The "very high" settings are offering the best hires quality, but sorry to
say: only the "very high" Y resolution will work with older cards
and drivers, the X one will most likely crash or give an error messagebox on
such hardware. You will need a at least a Geforce 5xxx or an ATI 1xxxx
card to run this resolution.
The same is true for the "ultra high" Y resolution.

You can combine different X and Y settings without any compatibility
problems, therefore the best possible quality settings for most cards are
"high X" and "very high Y" right now.

I recommend the "low" settings only with 32 MB cards (if you really want to
try this plugin with such cards), since with X/Y resolution set to "low",
the plugin only needs up to 4 MByte initial vram.

Both settings to "high" will need additional 16 MByte vram, for example, and
both settings to "very high" would need 64 MB vram... all values just to start
the plugin, without any texture loaded.

Recommended settings for 64 MB cards are X and Y set to "high", and with
128 MB cards you can use the X=high, Y=very high settings without problems.
On 256 MB cards you can even use the "Ultra Y" settings, but be aware that
some PSX framebuffer effects will need several seconds (!!!) if "Ultra" is
activated.
Your question is answered

the X800 and other Xxxx cards cannot do Ultra high.

i'm pretty sure Pete actually messed up with those instructions, because its the Y resolution that matters more then the x res.

X-vertical (height)
Y-Horizontal (width)

Don't use 6 for filtering, unless you want green lines around texture alpha., use 4.

Well it was pete that said the X800's couldn't use Ultra High, and people have had it working on Very high, it just requires limiting the resolution.
