ePSXe graphical error (images attached!)

Hi guys, I was emulating Chrono Cross on my laptop just fine (Intel Centrino Duo T2300, 1gb ram, GeForce Go 7900GS 256mb, etc) but when it came to playing on my desktop (AMD 4400X2, 3gb ram, ati x1800xt 512mb), I'm getting alot of artifacts. I've tried ePSXe 1.6.0 and 1.5.2 but to no avail (yes, I have tried the -noauto command).

I'm currently using the Eternal SPU as well as Pete's OpenGL2 (I've tried normal OpenGL and D3D but both give me graphical glitches). Finally, I'm booting from a mounted iso off of Daemon Tools (I've tried running an ISO too but it gives me the same results.

Also, I'm getting extremely low fps on my desktop machine (around 13-15 with my framelimit at 60).

Any help would be amazing! Thanks guys

dont use an OGL plugin. you can read through this thread to see if there are any suggestions that might work for you but otherwise avoid using them because im not sure if there has been a definite fix for the issue yet. can you post the settings you were using for the d3d plugin? with CC, its best to use 1.5.2 with the "odd/even bit hack" game fix enabled. the -noauto command switch is only used with 1.6.0 but the game can still be unstable with that version.

for the speed issue, make sure epsxe is being used by only one of your cpu cores. this can be done by going into the task manager, right clicking epsxe.exe under the "processes" tab, and then going to "set affinity" in the right click menu.

Missing/black textures

Hi hope my late post is helpful.

i assume that you have the latest catalyst driver installed.

Download the ogl driver from an older driver here Zippyshare.com - atioglxx.zip

...and unzip and place the file in your main epsxe folder.

Cheers
