In trouble I am. Used this never I have.
System meets recommended requirements, I believe.. Ran Wizard Guide, SCPH1001(US), Pete's DX6 D3D Driver 1.75, eSPXe SPU core 1.5.2 and have tried: ASPI Driver 1.2, Barrett-Kazzuya CDR Driver 1.1, ePSKe CDR ASPO core 1.5.2, ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.5.2, Mooby2 cd disk image driver 2.8, P.E.Op.S. CDR Driver 1.4, Pete's CDR ASPI/IOCTL Driver 1.10, SaPu's CD-ROM Plugin 1.0, Xeven's CDR Driver 0.93 for the CDrom plug-in.. I also have tried scph101 & scph7001 for bios. And Dr. Hell's GDI Driver 0.6, Dr. Hell's GDI Pseudo Driver 0.6, E)I{'s Soft Driver 0.98, E)I{'s Soft Driver K6/P1MMX 0.98, Kazzuya Software Driver 1.8, Lewpy's 3dfx/Glide3 GPU 1.40, P.E.O Soft Driver 1.16, Pete's D3D Driver 1.75, Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.75, Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.6, [Next3D] 1.5, [NextGL] 1.12.. Obviously I am doing something wrong, I've never done a PS emulator before. Probably something really n00bish, sorry. I read you're guide on how to set it up, and I even made an ISO with Alcohol 120% via your guide. Game runs very slow, glitches, sound skips. I put most settings to the lowest, and worked way up. If you need any more information ask please. I really don't know what I am doing or where to begin troubleshooting... |

Your video card is a little weak, most games should work OK with Pete's D3D... But there will be other games that slow down and it's better to use Peops in those ones... (And your processor is weak, being a Celeron... An Athlon 750Mhz performs better, but anyway it should be enough)
It's weird that you're not getting good performance... just to be sure: - Use Peops - Use a CD Image (I assume you know how to make it, alcohol, imgburn of any image program you like) - Make sure DMA is set in your IDE (And try a high UDMA mode) And be sure to set USE FPS Limit, Autodetect FPS/Frame skipping Limit and DO NOT set "USE Frame Skipping". Set stretching to one of the first three in the list... Whatever you like... No Dithering.... And 640x480 mode (windowed or fullscreen, it doesn't matter) And if it still does not work for you, try luck with pSX emulator, it's easier to make it work, with less features. |

It ran alot better when I tried that, but there's a few things I don't know how to do...
A. Make sure DMA is set in your IDE (And try a high UDMA mode) <--- this It played ALOT better, instead of skipping every second, it was like every 7-10 seconds, and the sound wasn't skipping nearly as much I posted screenshots of my configurations.. let me know if I need to change anything, maybe I over looked it. *shrugs*

About the DMA thing... I'm using a spanish version of Windows XP, so instructions may be inaccurate....
Go to your desktop, right-click "My PC", select "Device Manager", In that list, go to "IDE/ATAPI Controllers" Then, with each one of "IDE Master channel" and "IDE secondary channel" that appears in the list, you should: Right-click "IDE Master/Secondary Channel", select Properties. Go to the Advanced Tab... Then for each device, in the Transfer Mode list, select "DMA if available".... In the textbox below the list you will see the UDMA mode that you are using (that's automatic, hope it to be high). In my example it's UDMA Mode 3. Screenshot About the sound plugin... You can try two things: If you want performance use the Eternal SPU Lite, If you want quality use the Eternal SPU. Here's an example of my sound config: Screenshot 2 Other thing is that you shouldn't be using Peops CDR plugin, if you made the image you don't need the CD anymore... Try using mooby2's CD Image plugin. There are some games that work better in ePSXe version 1.5.2, and there are also some games that need some command-line to work right... As an example, Chrono Cross works better in version 1.5.2 if no command line is provided (it works right in version 1.6.0 if you provide the right command line)... You should try V1.5.2 also... |

Ok, FF7, N20, and a few other games work great, but Lunar II Eternal Blue is glitching badly during cinemas and gameplay, and the sound will catch up AFTER I have closed ePSXe...
I already have gone into Video > Activate Special Game Fixes > Ignore Black Brightness Colour Maybe I am missing something else?

what are the video settings you are using again? do you have frame skipping or anything like that enabled? if you are using the settings sarkwalvein posted for the eternal plugin, try setting the audio out method to thread, bring the buffer down to 64 or something near it, and enable the "wait for xa" option in the upper right hand corner of the config window. where is the majority of the glitch coming from, is it a visual thing or an audio glitch?

And Dcollins, please edit your post for christs sake. I doubt that your playstation could give you Bioses from 3 different regions...

Most of the glitching occurs when I try to play the game, I believe it's something wrong with the video.. P.E.O Soft Driver 1.16 - Have it set to auto-detect frame skipping limit, I have the "Use Frame Skipping" option un-checked, and I don't see a "wait for xa" option...
And I got a Bios RAR from my room mate. I didn't copy my PS bios..

I'm not computer savy enough to get my bios off of my PS. I'm sorry I took the easy way.

Ok... I got the video problem solved, I had to check some other options under Activate Special game fixes.. but now I have no sound when I click "New Game", there's sound at the main menu... I've tried both the CD and ISO image.
I'm using ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2., when I click "Configure" it says it doesn't need to be. I've got 3/4 of the checkable fields checked, all except "Enable SPU IRQ hack (need in some games)"

The only one I have for sound is ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2.
No others show up.
