Plugins missing extensions error?

I am using epsxe 1.6 and petes opengl2 driver. I have recently tried to use shaders. I have put the directory of shaders in my epsxe directory. I select screen smoothing and choose from the little box the shader directory. No matter what shader i select, AA 1.0 or AA 2.0 for example, the emu brings up a little box saying "missing shader extensions" am i doing anything wrong? seems strange im missing files as the shaders are all there if you get me. Its called shaderpack 2.3

what video card are you using? try putting your shaders directory into your plugins directory.

Its strange as all i seem to be able to do is select the directory where my shaders are. I cant actually select "shader 2" for example. I can only select the 5 default shaders.
