Lost ability to make save states

For some reason randomly after playing Final Fantasy VIII on ePSXe 1.5.2, I can't make any more save states for this or any other game. It can still load the old savestates I had before, but it can't make any new ones. I tried deleting the emulator and putting it on my computer again, but that didn't work. When I try to make a savestate, the log says it was saved, but when I press F2 to cycle through them, the savestate number was still black instead of showing a picture of even static.

I noticed that the savestate numbers glitched after playing Final Fantasy VIII, but it would still make savestates. I remember there being 2 savestate number 2's but everything would still save normally.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I don't mind loosing all my savestates since I went into the games and saved normally onto the memory card.

make sure the sstate folder and all files in it are set to allow fullwrites.

i believe he means by making sure they are not "read only". right click and go into properties and make sure it is not set to that.

Lol, how did that happen? Somehow the folder was set to read only. No clue how it happened.
