How high can I set things?

Im just curious as to how high do you think I would be able to set my settings using Pete's OpenGl plugin and still get a definitive 60FPS without slow down.

Athlon 64 X2 3800+
894MB RAM
NVIDIA 6150 chipset
191MB shared VRAM

the only way your getting 60fps constant with that system is if your skipping certain effects.

your running Dx9, the 6150 is not capable of Dx10.

Im not sure about that I've went on my NVIDIA control panel and it says the version im using is DirectX version 10.0 and DXdiag says the same thing.

Oh and its weird despite what you say when im using OpenGL it almost always runs at 58.5 - 59.9FPS I know because half the time while playing one eye is on the FPS counter....

im very much sure about that as i know the hardware you are using was designed for DirectX 9c and supports shader model 3.0.

Geforce 5 6 and 7 are all DirectX 9 designs.

Geforce 8 is Dx 10. dxdiag and the nvcp just refer to the current Dx version installed.

Oh well, thank you for clearing that up...however im still puzzled....how can ePSXe still run as well as it does with my current settings.....cause I tried DX6 D3D and that caused some slowdown and OpenGL never has any besides maybe an occasional 1-2FPS drop.

OpenGL runs best on Nvidia cards, many NV users find that the Dx plugins when set to match the OpenGL plugin (or there abouts) runs slower.
