Possible to Backup Quick Saves?

As the title asks, I want to know if there is a way to backup the quick saves we make with the F1-3 buttons.

There are some points in games I save due to needing to keep a consecutive count to obtain the item(s).

For example in FF IX's Jump Rope mini game. I am at 315, but want to continue playing the game, but I don't want to lose the 315 jumps I have made (took some doing to pause Vivi in mid air so I can get the next jump in without a lose).

I loosed in the files that come with ePSXe 1.5.2 and 1.6.0 (I am using 1.6.0, but I have had never had issues with the game due to that version).

Regardless, I just want to know if it's possible to backup the quick saves in 1.5.2 and 1.6.0 so I can override them but at some point load old ones back into the emulator.

Please and Thank you in advance

Yes you can. Just copy them from the sstates directory.
The name of a savestate is based on the Product code (eg. SLUS_123.02.000) of the game.

most of the time this is the case, but i just found out (just then) that i had a file named CHRONOCROSS.000 in my SSTATES folder so it must change if you load an image directly into ePSXe

Thank you, I backed those up, and deleted the files from the folder, but what's odd is that I am still able to reload the same save state files. No problem there if I can reload the zipped files.

I also meant to ask if I can swap them to other Playstation emulators, like we can with memory cards? As in if I can use these quick saves in SSSPSX or PCSX (to name a couple).

Please and Thank you in advance on this one

Thanks again on the backups.

Every emulator has it's own format so that's not possible.
But maybe some converter could be made in the future if files are similar enough...

@Squall: Hm... Yeah, I think I saw that once, I don't usually use savestates so I forgot about it.

Darn, oh well, worth a shot, thanks for the quick responses and all the work the people here have spent to make it possible to play the games we want to anywhere.

Yes, i just checked it out, when mounted on Alcohol, it uses the SLES code, when loaded directly by the IMG option it uses ChronoCross, seems loading an img file directly in uses the Disks name for state names.
