Datadayne "Paper" mario 64 retexture with some hires textures.

Outside castle 100% done. First stage 100% done. I will be working on the second stage now. Have a look at my pack. (this pack is themed on the paper mario series.)

Like it?

Unfortunately, thats mainly due to lack of post processing on the Mario model.

Shaders can do a cel-shading effect that will nicely compliment the pack and make the model blend in somewhat, but it won't be perfect . As if, of course, Rice's video plugin supports shaders....

anyway, Datadyne, I luv the pack! Keep it up! ^^

Soon Project64 will also suport hirez textures, so when it is out, make it campatible with pj64

Yes, it will. But it wont be easy making it compatible with project 64. Project 64 dumps the textures with different names than rice dose. But I will try to do it when project 64 1.7 comes out to the public.

Some of the terrain textures look pretty sharp, especially the ones in the later pics. But some of it looks like it has been drawn in paint and pretty average. Like for example it looks like you drew those faces freehand.

I might be wrong, but I'm starting to think you drew half of it yourself in paint and then stole the other half from packs/image search in google. I may be wrong, but your pack is suspicously inconsistent.

Are you free hand drawing those eyes on the block guy? I'd suggest using the line tool to make a proper oval for the eyes.

(No offense to the OP here), but there are already quite a few completed packs that are very decent at emutalk.net in the high res section (its pretty much the centre of the scene). You must not have seen many packs.

Yes, thank you for that comment "gaveup tommorow". But Vanit has a point. There is good pack on emutalk.net. (search up rissios cartoon style sm64)
his is amazing. Im still learning though. You can also find my pack there. Im a member of the site with the same user name.

As for your question Vanit, I know I have bad circles and lines. I will fix those with the elliptical tool.

Most of the packs I've seen are from those who show pictures of them being started, and they aren't finished. Maybe I HAVE seen many packs..but they were just of lesser quality :P I just haven't seen the better packs yet, thats all (and I don't go to places dedicated to this kind of thing either...as I typically just like to play the games how they were made). This is still good work, none the less.

It's a mish-mash of good and bad. Some look REALLY REALLY good. While others are not so good. Though definitely in the right direction. Your wall textures are really good but your ground is not so good.

Personally I think you should work on the tree's, grass, gui, snow and wood. Everything else looks very good.
