Mario Kart 64 looks great. Do you get good FPS?

I only know how to put the fps counter during starfox64, which is the last game I played.

But I say the fps for mariokart is about 13ish- 20 something. Just don't put the sound on and it will be fine. I think all of these n64 games are playable at their framerate on the psp.

Mario 64 easily gets 20fps with sound on in some areas, and only 12-13fps in others. Turning sound off gives a boost of course, but it isn't that much of a boost. In the areas where the ghosts are in the castle though, the game runs at full speed and sounds perfect. Mario Kart was running at about 16fps w/sound the first race I ran, and dropped to 12-13 fps on the second race I ran. Starfox runs pretty decently when there are no enemies on the screen, but once things start to happen, the fps drops down. Hopefully the sound will be moved to the ME for R10, and we can see yet another boost in fps It is quite impressive in its current state though.. Super Smash Bros. still crashes though

What version you using? With the last version you can play Mario 64 almost full speed (without sound)

If that could ever be efficient enough to run Goldeye, that would be amazing. That game actually has a native 16x9 mode.

You cannot play Mario 64 in full speed... yet. :P The fastest that game would run is about 50FPS, I think... while the lowest would be around 14-17FPS.

With sound, it's... skippy and the frame rate drops like about 1/3.

The FPS i quoted was from R9. R10 did gain a little more speed, but it still isn't near full speed in many places. Around the castle is great, usually with 25fps or so, and the water fountain easily gets full speed...but once you jump into a level, the frame drops a lot lower...Usually to like 12-15fps (try the first level)...Once again, this speed will greatly fluctuate depending on how many enemies are around you, your surroundings, etc. Ya, you can turn off sound and turn the frame skip on and get about 20fps on the first level, but it still annoys me at that speed..and is a little laggy because of the dropped frames. I've tested this game enough to know what the speeds are (been testing it since Daedalus came out) :P And it isn't full speed...or near full speed in many areas. But some areas do get full speed...so it just depends on what level you're playing. Give it another couple releases, and then I'll probably consider it near full speed.

25FPS is fullspeed for PAL on the N64, 30 FPS is ntsc.
i get ~18-25FPS walking around the castle in SM64.
but only 10FPS or so at the startpoint of the bombs level

hope further releases will be faster
and more compatible of course, i want to play conker on my PSP
