Metal Gear Solid
unfortunately, Pete's OpenGL2 has some issues with it when there is framebuffer effects so i just used the regular OpenGL plugin, with Quincunx Anti-aliasing enabled...

May I ask what is the Quincunx Anti-aliasing? I can't seem to find it on the video configuration settings.

That's for Nvidia cards. A proprietary antialiasing method that allows bor a great compromise between 2x and 4x antialiasing. Basically the quality of 4x with the performance of 2x. If using the ATI omega drivers, you should have an adaptive AA function as well. |

basically it's 2xAA with some blur. normally it looks really crappy, but it comes in handy with some things, and IMO it's reminiscent of the way Voodoo cards did AA.

I used to play also PSX Games with those "filterd" settings ( i was playing vagrant story) but i notec that the Game looked much more authentic and realistc when leaving textures unfiltred, just like if u play with pSX. But thats personal taste, the shots itself have nice motives! Thats not enough to say : really fantastic looking shots! My favorite is Pic. 6! wbr Shin Gouki Last edited by Shin_Gouki; August 10th, 2006 at 17:00.. |

Ah MGS, I love it, it is the only PSX game that I passed 30± times. Btw: Have anyone made a thread with best MGS settings like FF7/8/9, i know that MGS have problems with OGL2 but if anyone made a OGL thread can someone direct me to it (i haven't done any searching as that won't help me because the search function is in mess).

Last night I was playing MGS on pSX and I configured the same keys for both pads so I won't have to change the controller when I had to beat Psycho Mantis. When I beat him I didn't bother to change the keys. When I got to the battle scene with Liquid I pressed circle (which pressed circle on pad 2 at the same time) and got this debug info.
