OMFG I'm just enabling random things without knowing what they do.

If you were talking about Chrono Cross, sure i would mention it,
but you are playing FF9, i beat FF9 without using that, there is no need for using odd/even bit hack for FF9

you don't even need odd/even bit hack for Chrono Cross. i've been playing it lately, got a couple hours into the game so far, using ePSXe 1.5.2 and no odd/even bit hack and...yeah, works perfectly.

when i get a little farther i'm planning to make a CC/OGL2 thread.

btw, that's probably as good as you're going to get with the GF2. but who's complaining? i think that looks pretty good--natural, if you will.

i actually got ff9 to work like it would on the playstation(battle transition and battles work flawlessly) with the ogl2 plugin. as with the normal plug in for opengl it has soem odd texture issues in battles which are not there with ogl2. also i only play ff9 in 1.6 as for me it works better, only tiem i use 1.5.2 is for those rare spots where it freezes up on the fmvs sometimes.

Hey, guys, I just posted the screenshots of my gamplay on my previous post using the cartoon shaders.

As for my impression of FF9: I think it was a great but not excellent game though, probably I played it a little too late. Especially my vivi is in lv43 with still no good spells

When you enter in the menu -> status, the game freezes if odd/even bit hack is not enabled.
