Here's a random picture of Bahamut. Possible spoiler for some. I'm using Petes OGL2, and I'm running the games at a whopping 1280x1024!

Hey Viper, how did you get the battle menu to be blue? I never figured that out. (Sorry if its a noobish question).

Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.8
Author: Pete Bernert
Card vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
GFX card: GeForce 6600 GT/AGP/SSE/3DNOW!

Resolution/Color:
- 1280x1024 Fullscreen - NO desktop changing
- Internal X resolution: 2
- Internal Y resolution: 2
- Keep psx aspect ratio: off
- No render-to-texture: N!

- Filtering: 2
- Hi-Res textures: 2
- TexWin pixel shader: off
- VRam size: 128 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: 60.0

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 1
- Framebuffer effects: 2
- Framebuffer uploads: 1

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Mdec filter: off
- Screen filtering: on
- Shader effects: 1/4
- Flicker-fix border size: 0
- GF4/XP crash fix: off
- Game fixes: on [00000000]

As you can see in the picture I'm crazy about the shader effects, but I can't stand the background without it, and if you were running it at 1280x1024 you'd think so to 0_o.

access the Menu (Triangle) and choose config, most of the ingame settings are there

my screenshots are taken only @ 800x600 but they already look alnti-aliased due to the custom shader, at max level, you should try it to for more vibrant colors (6600GT user here too!)

Hmm I couldn't find ShadX's Natural Vision Shader anywhere on the NGEmu page. I even searched the forums (unless I missed something).

Anyways, so we stay on topic, here's another screenshot. If you know anything about Star Trek, you'll get this one:

i know, and the one i posted was my shot too.

i just think it's funny how you put a huge watermark on it, like somehow your picture is copyrighted (like it's a photo you took) or that you'd be really disturbed if someone stole that screenshot and used it elsewhere

That's the biggest watermark I've ever seen. You should be proud. Yeah, I've got watermark envy.

Looks interesting. But i found the effect is an little bit to hard (4.picture) .
The virtual line of sight should always work from right to left (pic 5 is ok). it is so, our brains have learned to interpret an lighteffect at the upperright as 3D , from left (pic 4) looks confused.
thats my personal opinion

yeah, its a overdone a bit, lowering the shader intensity could resolve it (level 3 should be fine probably).
also, you cant control the shading since you would have to modify the game itself to do that, the thing you see is a fullscreen shader effect which "bumps" the whole scene (am i correct SimoneT?)

Yes, it's correct, the whole scene (AKA pbuffer-texture) is bumpmapped using here as an height-map. You can modify some shader parameters (editing the fp file):

spc = specular
lVec = light vector
eVec = eye vector
exp = exponent

Lowering the exp parameter decrease the effect.
Changing the lVec change the light direction...

You must try yours combinations for finding the best one (for you).
Ciao.:guitar:
