If you mean FF IX (9) there are any good setings in this Thread. FF XI (11) is an online Game or so.

The ARB is a Fullscreen Fillter
4 and 6 can make borders and gliches ,2 filters Bilinear?

Hires The textures are streched befor drawing to Polygons.

many games reacting angree to this.(black or green or blue border around Things.

Test not so verry long! FF IX is an nice Game with a good Story.

My info straight from IRC.

Any way I can make things look better? I have a problem I don't know if everyone else has this problem but when I'm outside of battle the animations are all messed up when walking around. Like Zidane's face gets all messed up blah blah.

Also I'm using imageshack because the images are too big here.

Also ignore my sig, it's old. It's been a long time since I've posted here.

yeah, nothin you can do about that, it's because the PSX lacks subpixel accuracy you can play at a lower resolution...but thats about it

well what is subpixel accuracy??!? well, basically with FF9 they made more...um...detailed character bodies. with that came more polygons. on the PSX the polygons can only move 1 pixel at a time. when you make the res huge (liek 1280x960 is 4x PSX res) the polys move a huge distance just to move 1 pixel. and since a lot of them are moving at once, you see that weird jumpy effect. and well a lot of people notice it on FF9 because it has those neato character bodies with lots of polygons that love to move all over.

My epsxe crashes when I try to use Internal X/Y Resolution at 2 "Very High".

I guess it doesn't like my Radeon 9600 Pro.

in game looks ok, your inbattle looks like crap. you should adjust your texture filtering a bit to get rid of that weird look of the backgrounds.

So should I even bother using ePSXe 1.6.0? That's all I use but I seem to have a lot of problems. I haven't tried 1.5.2 in a long time. Like with FF9 I get flashing menus in battle and in FF8 in the opening the screens go weird and fade out all scanline-ish.

Also hushy I'm using D3D

dont use ePSXe 1.6.0, you're going to encounter a crapload of problems. plus, you can just copy over your 1.6.0 plugins and such to ePSXe 1.5.2, there is no hassle whatsoever. it's still available for download at the website too.

and ew, D3D sucks. use OpenGL at least, i'd definitely recommend OGL2 a try too. you can use my settings if you carefully read my guide, i notice you discovered how ATi cards dont do 4096x4096 textures (it says it in my guide though...i guess no one reads that part )
