Chrono Cross (PSXeven w/ PeteOGL2.2) *potential spoilers*

Started replaying this game.
and decided to try it with Pete's latest hardware accel plugin

Settings:
Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.2
Author: Pete Bernert
Card vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
GFX card: GeForce4 Ti 4600/AGP/SSE2

Resolution/Color:
- 640x480 Fullscreen - NO desktop changing
- Internal X resolution: 1
- Internal Y resolution: 1
- Filtering: 0
- Hi-Res textures: 0
- TexWin pixel shader: off
- VRam size: 128 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: 61

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 0
- Framebuffer effects: 0
- Framebuffer uploads: 0

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Line mode: off
- Screen filtering: on
- Shader effects: 0/1
- Game fixes: off [00000000]

I hardly manage to get 60fps with this but it's just enough and looking damn good compared to Ogl1.74 especially backgrounds which do not suffer from tilling etc.

here's the resulut:

well actually I'm not using any shader effects...
I don't like blurry pictures too.
I'm just using the full screen filtering which really works wonders. It makes things looks so much like the real console on TV. Using 640x480 on my 17' monitor also gives me some sort of scanline effect which is very pleasant.

shaders don't seem to work.
it says missing extension. I bet it's because I'm still using these good old 30.82 Dets but I'm not changing to anything else

Or maybe it's because the shaders are IIRC DX9 based and you have a DX8 card.

when you unzip the OGL2 plugin there is a folder, "shaders". copy that directory into your "Plugins" folder

it won't work on DX8 cards, works fine on my friends 9800 pro, but on a GF4Ti it won't work

ah it doesn't matter
it's already quite slow as is, so adding shading effect wouldn't help...
I guess I'll be able to try those shaders only when I upgrade
