Der Langrisser (SNES english translated by buuy)

Here is some screens from one of the best tacticals ever. Yes! It is. And it is for SNES and it was only in JAP but recently (2008) some guy nammed BUYY or BUUY who made BSNES applied a completed translated patch with fixed dialogues, better fonts and more. Cheers and enjoy.

What about the translation is great especially the new model of fonts. Congratulations to the translator(s).

Just applied the patch this morning, but haven't gone too much into the game (had to go to the office). It looked great, and the translation is excellent I haven't had experience in this game before (I had used ZSNES that had some bug issues that froze the game every now and then on langrisser, and it also occured in der langrisser). Looking forward to playing it through the weekend

I`ve beaten the game 4 times 3 times in JAP and 1 time in the translated version. The game has multiple endings - something uneexpected for a game avout 2.5 MB and for that early age... Guess the real games were there :"D

Hmmm I'm starting really to think that this game is truly that good. Can't wait to get back home and play it further. Wonder why it wasn't translated to english?

Yes, the game is really *that good*. And on top of that it`s actually the sequell to SEGA`s WarSong. And another addition is Langrisser 1&2 CD for PSX. And back then they released Der Langrisser 3 (with 3D battles)for Sega SATURN, followed by Langrisser IV for SS and PSX and Langrisser V for PSX... sadly - only JAP versions. The only english versions are the original War Song for MegaDrive and that pached ver. for SNES.

Sequel for the megadrive (genesis) is available under the name "Langrisser Hikari", and it's basically the same game as "Der Langrisser" for SNES, with slightly different graphic. And there was translated version of it for quite some time now, so you can can add it to the list
