Good buy Samor! I bought a 360 pad for my PC and I LOVE it, works fantastic, I can even get rumble now. And not to mention that I have an extra 360 controller when I want to do multiplayer on the original console

Are you using the XBCD drivers? I skipped right to using those because I heard so many bad things about the MS ones.

Try the XBCD ones, there are a lot of extra goodies, and a very cool control panel. Just make sure you apply the patch/hack for 360 controllers, because XBCD is for the original Xbox controller. I was fiddling around for a long time and swearing at my computer because it wouldn't be recognized...turned out I had only installed the Xbox drivers

And the wireless one works too? How? What does it interface with? I have the play & charge kit, the one that charges the controller via USB, and it says in the manual that even while you have that in, it still uses wireless, not wired.

Completely in korean language, they even replaced cheesy western background music with cheesy korean folklore music

edit: language can be forced to english

here's a few shots of stuff I got lately.

The PS games I got from a friend.
I got rid of my Megadrive stuff btw, wasn't interested in it at all and that same friend was (actually, most games were originally his anyways), so that's where that went.

I now have 25 DC games ...had to pay import tax again, on Ikaruga. Phoned the post office and they told me that you're actually supposed to be paying tax on any imported package with a value over 20 euros (approximately - apparantly you're still safe when it's a little over 20). Either way, they seem to be checking it more regularly, or I'm just not lucky (anymore). Then again, most of my online purchases were prolly under 20 euros too. Cid, you're warned
It's a good thing I got both KOF's cheap.

And the 360 pad, of course. I like it. The d-pad is listed as POV-hat, but it works fine in 2D games. Nice to finally have a pad that doesn't need turning the analog functions on or off in order to work correctly. It's also nice that it has 2 analog axes AND analog shoulder buttons.

The price was 2 Euro, so i couldn't resist. I'm a pack rat

Actually it contains all popular leagues incl. german Bundesliga
Characteristically all language specific letters (ASCII codes beyond $7F) like in "Borussia Mönchengladbach" or "La Coruña" are ignored.

In Germany the limit is 22 Euro
Questions on customs procedures and commercial goods traffic
Probably now a regulation for the whole EU

Don't even get me f**kin' started on import duty. Anything from within the EU is obviously OK, but anything over £18 from the USA gets hefty tax. The £41 I paid for FFXII (including shipping) landed me with a £28 tax bill (I'll let you do the math). I think the tax threshold from non-USA countries is still £90, so I buy stuff mainly from Canada now. But it's the craziest level of taxation you can get.

If anyone is curious, the place I got Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops from is a brilliant Canadian site called DVD Box Office. Free delivery worldwide on the majority of items. I'm sorry if that constitutes spam, but they're an awesome site.

Very nice Samor

I haven't been thinking about buying games for a while, I decided it's time for me to actually enjoy what I have. That is, until I find a new bargain of course.

Well, Terranigma has been emulated for many years, so I don't think that was really a big deal.

This is probably my last catch of 2006, but it's a rather nice one (especially for a racing game fan like me )

I was in a gamestore today, browsing the titles, when my eye caught this incredibly poor looking (front cover) budget racing title called "Tokyo Road Race". I thought it would be another one of those cheap wannabe-racers, however, then I spotted the Taito logo... this made me wonder... could it be? I took the gamble, and indeed: this game is actually Battle Gear 2, an installment in this series that's very popular in Japanese arcades together with Sega's Initial D and Namco's Maximum Tune series.

The gameplay of this title is very, very good, and rivalling Intial D's... in fact, I think I might like this better

That's a hefty statement! I've been waiting for an update to Initial D...the PS2 version is nice, but I want to play Stage 3 at home.

what about arcade stage 4? (and stage 3 is on PSP, btw, bareing a slightly different name)
speaking of which, Battle Gear is also at its 4th installment already... BattleGear 3 was a PS2 title in Japan too (I'd still like to get my hands on that too, of course).

I'm serious though... this game (BG2) deserves a lot more than being disguised as a budget title in Europe, it's amongst the best of arcade racers in Japan, and I can definately tell - it's just that good.
