Not necessarily. The EU version is the Directors' Cut version, while the US version is the normal version. And the Director's Cut version does say "Director's Cut" on the front cover. Here's a shot of the front cover of the US version: link

So only the EU version (Director's Cut) is the equivalent of the Xbox' "Restless Dreams" version, but not the US version (normal).

For anyone who's wondering what the difference is. The Director's Cut version has a sub-scenario where you can play with a different character and it has 1 extra ending, making it a total of 6 possible endings.

it's ok, you're off the hook, but juuuust barely. you aren't as game crazy as industrian...still pretty crazy but not like "whoa. that's a lot of games."

btw Samor, what percentage of the games you own have you beaten (or at least played as far as you care to ever play)?

played, in at least started up more than once (not counting to just see if it works): I assume, 90%.

played a lot: 30%, I think

really finished: I think no more than 10%

I still get back to oldies though, last month I finished Screamer 1, which was long overdue =P

If I stopped buying now, I think I'd need a year or five at least to kinda catch up =P

i would like to check my actual numbers, i think that'd be interesting. too bad most of my games (GBA, N64, SNES, PC) are at my parents' place (being stored i guess).

i just checked the games i do have here, 19/41 of my PSX games [duplicate games not counted, like my 4 MGS versions] i've either beaten or gotten as far as i care to or will ever (like ball breakers...played that game a lot, never beat it though) but it's 16/21 for my PS2 games. i don't "collect" PS2 games, if i buy it that means that i actually want to play it, i suppose.

and it's 3/4 for PC games i own (beat HL1/HL2 and doom3....never played that Unreal 2004 much though) and 1/1 for my only GC game, MGS:TS. and i've played all of my DS games thoroughly, some more thorough than others, but i'd say that none of them have been neglected.

DS eh? There are some I still have to get back to (advance wars and metroid prime pinball most notably), and one which I really don't like a lot (Mario64DS), don't know if I'll play that again =P

counting all my games to see which I played would be time-consuming...
the most neglected game I should still play would be Gran Turismo 4, heh (I actually did play it twice, or so =P )
Burnout Revenge I never played at all (aside from seeing if it worked), but that's because I'm still busy with part 3.

Yeah still looking for the second one as well, but I hardly ever see it on ebay, not the dutch one actually. Perhaps I should look a bit better. And I still need to get a VGAbox, but they usually sell for 30 bucks and I don't like to have such a thing shipped overseas.

surely you're getting scart again? or at least svideo...
Definately going back to scart again, my tv doesn't support Svideo, and those scart connectors with a composite, stereo, and an Svideo entrance on it don't support Svideo in colour. Too bad because tv out is forced in composite

Found me this really old (pc) game on a local fair this weekend, cost me a whole Euro. Mad Dog McCree
the CD booklet contains the manual, so it's pretty complete, I guess.
For some reason I rarely come across old pc games like that, btw.
Heh, flea markets rule

I tried doing one of the 24 hour races but I got bored and shut it off about 5 hours into it. My B-Spec guy sucks too much to use on those races. After about 6-8 laps on Circuit de la Sarthe in B-Spec, I lost about a minute of my lead over the second place car.

that sucks. i already finished the entire endurance section. i actually did play those races for a while even though i could've easily bspec'd (and destroyed) the competition. if you don't pick anything in the pit options, it picks it for you. so i just played for a bit and then bspec'd and went to sleep, i won by several laps

Really?
I have a SH2 version that has Restless Dreams (the extra scenario) for Pc but i don't remember it saying it was for Europe, i live in Mexico btw and i bought it from my local Office Depot.
Gotta go and check for that box, wherever it is. (Although i have the slightest feeling thats it's in the other house )

One way to find out if it's European, it should have PEGI ratings on the box.

Found a nice website that has listed all of the different versions of Silent Hill 2 - LINK

Now you can look up what version of SH2 you have exactly.

I've been waiting a long time to get my hands on this.

I'm pleased to say it was worth the wait.

Is that a Lufia ost or there was some obscure cd release long ago? In any case, any good art or anything in the manuals? You need to show more stuff.

It's not the Estpolis Biography, aka the rarest game music CD you'll get (I've seen one sell for $550 on eBay.) It's a pretty recent (January 2006) re-release of it that includes the Lufia: The Legend Returns soundtrack as well.

There's nothing worth mentioning in the manual (minimal artwork, a few comments, no interviews) but you do get some stickers and it is the Lufia 1&2 soundtrack, so that's good enough for me considering the £24.99 I paid for it.
