it's not that rare, but expect to pay a hefty price for a copy (mine was 35 bucks...)

That's a pretty fair price actually, where did you bought it? I bid a copy once in ebay for $40, the winning bid was around $65....

That's a quite often used solution.... at least that keeps the games smooth (but PAL60 is much better).

Oh, and here's most of the MSX stuff I have...

I would prefer to have them all original releases. If you look at my PS2 and GameCube games that I've only recently (from November 2005) buying, I made sure that they were all original releases. I even make sure my PC purchases are original versions now. What do you think of the totally z0mg complete Lunar SSSC and EBC?

Another thing to add, is that if you look at the PAL releases WITHOUT the "PlayStation" logo at the bottom of the case, they are the original 1995/6 releases.

I got mines from Play-Asia cheaply. I don't know if this constitutes advertising (lol) but with most purchases from Play-Asia you get a $5 off voucher for future buys over $50.

And since most developers don't choose to make use of the larger resolution (instead opting to get the game out quicker) most games come out here with black bars as well as being 17% slower. Tekken 3 is the greatest example of that.

yeah industrian, i give you props on the lunar, valkyrie profile...i dont have much in the way of "super cool" or rare. i have a mint (as good as an opened one gets) of Xenogears, i have original FFA/FF7/FF8/FF9 and MGS and VR missions...i have MGS:Integral but it's a "The Best" version (the japanese greatest hits). later today when the sun is out ill take an updated picture of my PSX games collection, along with my tiny PS2 collection

I was gonna take pictures of my two Atari ST Discovery Packs. One of which was in constant use for almost five years, and the other which is as good as new. Both still have their original boxes, documentation and games. Trouble is, I can't find them. They must be right at the back of my attic or something.

With that kind of attitude you'll be single for the rest of your life I think

I took some more pictures, one of the NES collection:

Of some games we've got 2 copies, some of the boxes are still in very good/mind condition I noticed. Some games are missing though: Zelda 2 (has been at my cousin's place for numerous years. He lend me Tecmo Cup, which is still at a friend's place together with Doctor Mario. Also, there's still ROB the Robot which is in a box stored away, and I really don't know where my parents have put it.

The second picture is one with about the rarest stuff I have.

The two left ones (MGS and Tekken3) are the ones I already owned, the other ones got send later. Remember the thread where I asked you about how to ship stuff from the US to the Netherlands Kirby? The Tekken3 and GT2 cases without a disc on them are still sealed, and will stay that way for a long time.

I was once experimenting with the GameGenie with Contra 2 (probotector 2 here) and we wrote down all of them, which really fecked up the game. We only forgot to write down one that gave us hundreds of machine gun powerups thanks to me pressing start too soon >_< I love that thing as well, though it really screwed my gaming skills at a point, just like savestates can do.
