...continuing the Lumines PS2 impressions:
these are the skins I've unlocked so far.... my favs are "slipping" and "just..." ; both of them are similar-ish in style.

The game loads between the levels, but on the fly, so I don't really find it an interruption. Also didn't really notice framerate issues (note that the PAL version fortunately supports 60hz). I guess that once one is accustomed to the 360 version though, it's hard to go back to something like this.
I noticed with headphones on that some of the mixing sounds a bit sloppy (especially in Shinin' - you can sometimes hear the "line breaks"). Maybe it's the PS2 version loading a tune in parts or something.
That makes me think.... does the PSP (UMD) perhaps load faster than the PS2? It would also explain why TDU on PS2 occasionally doesn't keep up with the loading.

I noticed that in Shinin' it can be a bit off as well. But that's the only song. There's another one where I thought I heard the disc drive make funny noises, but it's in the song actually. I'll look up which one it is.

We should put our Lumines scores in our sig, just like you did with GeometryWars Samor.

I'll do that.

I was able to exchange Le Mans for a working version:

Samor, I'm glad you got a working copy of Le Mans! I got a working copy of Trick Style, but I got it for the PC, I didn't care for it and gave it away.

I'm hoping to get the Art of Fighting Trilogy for the Playstation 2, it's on sale at Electronics Boutique for $14.99, not bad considering I really don't care for Art of Fighting, I prefer AOF 2 and 3...

I'm assuming it's been available in Europe for months? I only saw it in local EBs this month because a college buddy pointed them out to me!

Yeah, I'm a Neo Geo collector, gotta own 'em all...Well almost all of them!

Maybe. I just don't get (yet) how to rank up a score like that.

Mainly by just hanging in there and making big time combos. Just as long as you stay alive you'll get there eventually

The 360 version loads with no gap...that is to say, the levels switch seamlessly and so does the music. On my girlfriend's PS2, the levels load smoothly (sans visual transition) but there is a 1-2 (or more!) second gap before the music changes. Is that the same with yours?

there's a few seconds during the transition where there's no music, so if that's what you mean, then yes.

Nah I just got it from Amazon haha. Included the movie and instruction booklet for $15. Not a bad deal. I love the series which is why I got the game.
