The transparency in the start menu is done with a WIP application called ViStart. The program is currently in its 3rd public beta and, I must say, emulates the Vista Start Menu very well. You can read more info and download the program here : Window X's Shrine >> ViStart Beta 3

The transparency in the taskbar is done with WindowFX 3.0.

My new look desktop, I downloaded a theme from crytal xp, it gives the gui a nice new look, check it out:

My current desktop. The icons in the sys bar should actually be hidden but I'm showing them on purpose. Despite all that is running and that is says it is using 12% CPU its actually only using 5%. It just jumps while I am auto de-fraging in background. The RAM is dead on, and thats only cause I forced windows to load the entire kernel and system files into memory.

Did you draw that Fadingz? Great execution on the lighting effetc... most probably he use photoshop to render the colors...
