My desktop at the moment:

OS: Ubuntu Linux 6.10
Interface: Gnome 2.16
Wallpaper: Rat-Flail Bankai from VGCats

First picture: "normal" mode
Second picture: Eye-candy mode (not suitable for usual work if you have an ATI card as I do )

use an aqua dock/rocket dock to pack all the icons osx style that will make it look better
