>Depends on what kinda mood we're in. Notrmaly up to 80 pixels high. There is also no need for a sig image to be bigger than 15k or so. My one is quite detailed, slightly over the limits, but still barely over 10k.

set limit for onsite linking however is 500x60 & 25kb right? You can easily reduce the size in pixels and size in bytes of an image with Adobe photoshop and imageready, all you need to do is post up a pic and ask for it to be resized by someone and im sure someone will do it, ive usually got nothing to do and would do it myself if i saw a post like that

Well I think I posted a thread here at the open discussion about this. Click here to look at it. But you will need to pm/e-mail or post the signature so that I can upload it to my server

Cylinder, when you get a sig that you like, just let me know, and I'll host it for you.

Strider, Shaw Cable is the cable internet supplier in these parts. I just got reconnected last week, but I have been using Shaw for a long time.

I'm a Shaw user as well guys, lol...

Thanx for the offer Ninja but I can host it from my Shaw account. Also, the resiszes don't look that bad. I thought they would get all deformed but they look pretty normal still.

"maxium size of by."

what are the specs for a Sig image? The one I tried to upload was 150x113 and comes in at a whopping 10.2 k. I keep getting the the message "The image you uploaded was over the maximum size of by." ???

well seems like it will take you a long time to upload what sig image file you like... up to now you still haven't one... means more progress on new sig I presume...

500x60 I do beliive, and 20KB. Dependeing on a moderators mood, you can go over slightly. I have a hard time keepin it under spec, heh, since I like to use an above average desktop resolution (1152x864). Thusly every one I make look kinda small to me, and I forget most people are using 1024x768. Aslo we dont need to cuase NGEMU any uneeded bandwidth usage with masive sigs. Take a look at Madonion.com. The forums over there are frequently lagged like crazy from every massive sig.

Depending on a moderators mood? Hogwash. That should have nothing to do with it. Bad politics in my opinion.

The moderator mood has nothing to do with it... the on-site hosting limits are what they are... and this has been said so many times its getting repetitive, okay, in layman's terms 500 pixels wide, 60 pixels tall, 25 kilobytes big... OFF-site linking, meaning places like tripod, or private servers, youre allowed to have the sizes a little bit bigger, if the mods complain though you should change it

Strider is right. The mod's mood is only dependant if you have an oversize off site sig image.
The limits are there a) to conserve bandwidth on NGEmu (on site) and b) so 56kers aren't too inconvenienced by them.

I am. My sig is 500x80. The size in k is just over 10kb tho, and it's not too much over. 80 pixels is as far as I'd be willing to realisticly allow height on a sig.
