However, I think adding another light source of a different color from another angle might throw it a nice effect.

That's why I asked if it was made from scratch. Some people are old fashioned and hand make every single vector blend themselves (which is what I thought he could have done there. ), or could have gotten the software to auto trace the image into vector (which is cheating though. ).

looks perfect though...unless maybe you might want to try replacing the lined background with propper camo colours?
And the black and white one could be camo green and white.

I think that you should up the contrast a bit on the camouflage so that the two different colors in the camouflage will separate a bit so that it will stand out. Otherwise, it definitely is a nice logo though. Also, you might want to add in some scratches/damage to give it that rugged, war damaged look on the text (or maybe just the star, if anything) if you want to take it to the next level. Maybe even throw in a dog tag somewhere. That might be asking too much though.

why did you put three red colored pearls? they totally spoil the look of the image. Do they have a specific meaning in the image which I cannot make out.

I like the satin pants. The texture is really well done. The hair could use more improvement. The bands of hair are too smooth and solid.

nah, I still use corel painter as always

manually tracing with the pen (vector) tool over the picture
then adding shading shapes based off the light/shadows of the original picture

then filling the shapes with gradients, exports as picture then touching up and softening things

it's been like 6 years since I used cad based tools

Edit: ps; I think I still have the vectorized version saved somewhere if anyone wants to mess about with it or make it purple

I have brushes for those kind of effects but i don't know how to create them from scratch. (i'm an amateur )

another problem is i want to work with vector masks and I'm not sure if you can create work paths for brushes.

the left leg (viewer point of view) does not seem to have symmetry. but I think after inking it would change. what about hair can you change that
