I'm going to start a new test today. I really want to see how far this thing will go with its battery (stock 5200mAh).

Will do. Oh, and at 900MHz CPU and 100% brightness with everything on, the Eee PC was able to do Prime95 for 2 hours continuously before the battery ran out of juice and died painfully. Not really too bad, considering brightness at 100% is really too overkill. I usually set the brightness at 25% and CPU at 670MHz.

Thanks, and that's so awesome RAP.....now gimme! (what did you mean about battery dieing painfully though? )

kidding lol...I don't have anywhere near the cash needed for such a thing and even if I did it would be spent on getting a better desktop first rather.

2 hours is good considering my laptop with an external battery can't even last 45 minutes :/

The battery dying painfully meant... system will coldly shut down, and will have a 1-2 second delay to startup after I had pushed the power button. Doesn't matter that much, though, since it boots into XP in less than 5 seconds.

Did a BIOS update a while ago, and almost 30 minutes of sitting here, chatting with you guys won't even get it down to 90%. I smell 4h+ of web browsing and Photoshop goodness now... I have since then removed the fan in the thing, and maybe that helped.

Jee... I really ought to do a quick review of this thing. Portable web browsing and portable Photoshop machine for $360 and with over 2 hours of battery just pwns. Seriously.

P.S.: Oh yeah, and I should mention that even at stock speed (630MHz?), you can still run Project64 and play most games quite nicely. Needless to say, any emulator up to GBA, and maybe up to some NDS emulations as well, will run quite nicely. I have only tried a few out, but so far, it's two thumbs up.

Quite. Well, it does for a few games, and for some others, almost full, but it'll be full speed most of the time for most games if you clock the CPU to 900MHz. I'm running it at natural 630MHz.

Either way, screenshots here as I don't want to spam the art topic further with details. But I know some of us will love to hear more.

You have 48 hours, Fadz.

And here is a quick doodle using the Eee PC, just to show that it's possible.

I'd name her Emerline.

I like your style of art RAP. Though, it the outlines look like clipart. Not a bad thing though. Nice job.
