erm? round hands? too cutesy? i dunno (prepares to get slapped for the too cutesy remark) sorry, too hard to criticize when i just got beat in my own thread
i meant did you use an airbrush to go over it later or did you make feathered selections and fill them or use the dodge/burn tools? etc to color it

im getting close to the colouring stage so it would be helpful

yah this round hand... it's hard to draw hand, which hold something and the cutie style I use made it easier for me
I used the pencil to draw the outlines, and made a new layer and selection for every element of the artwork except the hair, which I drew freely.

Sweet! I really like the texture effects. It almost looks like he was made in metal or something One critique though ... I think you should seperate the torso from the legs more to make them look seperate

thanks, and in all honesty i never saw the point where the legs end and the torso begins, the picture was so dark in fact that even when i brightened it it was hard to tall what parts belonged to the guy and what belonged to the background

well, layout generally means to the way things are layed out and ordered, like in your sig you have the image on the left inside a box, then theres two boxes to the right of it, on the bottom box you have your name and on the top you have 4 small icons

ok... well anyways, to turn a digital photo into an artsy looking type of picture you...

A) Desaturate the layer in mind
B) duplicate that layer
C) Invert the new layer (the copy of the original one)
D) set the copy layer's blending mode to linear dodge
E) final step and very important one at that, add a gaussian blur

heres an example of my turning a picture of vivi from ff9 into something that looks more like it was drawn
