Maybe, I'm not sure... sometimes I think one can always improve himself even if the overall skills are limited compared to others; on the other hand, I didn't improve since 2005 (and no, I don't consider myself to be an artist... just someone who likes to draw (poorly) for fun).

it could be fatal fury, but that outfit is typically "kof-mai" (the fatal fury one is different)
Mai never starred in AOF.

A present for Mai fans.

And I think it was in KOF 97?

looks newer than that; when KOF97 came out they still had that realistically drawing artist which I forgot the name from =P (he later went to capcom).

I can't tell... since there are so many out there. And some fan works are sooo good that they can be considered official... mmm...

But anyway, isn't that much too similar to Fadingz's artwork? I am not saying... 100% alike, but it does look damn close enough. Seems like art ideas just fly around... and loop itself.

... to be honest with you, I didn't even know what KOF is =_=... until you posted that pic and I searched on google img...
I don't even play street fighting game imo

If you are curious about anything...
Here is the direct quote of the request:
Quote:
Here's the character description I have typed up, but if you need anything more specific on a certain feature just ask. ^^

My character is a female elf. She has a typical elf build and features; tall and slender with nicely toned muscles. Her ears are long and pointy like Link’s (from the Zelda series), and she has gray eyes in the typical slender eye shape of most elves.

Her auburn hair is long (below shoulders), with layers so that loose chunks frame her face like bangs. She often keeps it tied in a ponytail but retains the face framing 'bangs'. He hair falls in a loose, almost messy kind of way (bedhead but without the frizz?) and her part is a little off to one side.

For an outfit... She wears a light brown sleeveless tunic that laces up the front (again, like Links) with dark brown leggings and knee high leather boots that fold down at the tops and lace down the front. She wears fingerless black/dark brown leather gloves and has two slim swords whose hilts poke up above her shoulders (the straps can be visible across her chest or not, whatever you're more comfortable drawing). For jewelry she wears a small flower pendant necklace, smaller silver hoops in her earlobes, and one small hoop in the upper cartilage of her right ear.

Personality wise (in case this affects your drawing) she is a determined and confident individual, although her sarcasm and cocky way of presenting herself is sometimes a deterrent to others. Overall though, she is friendly and usually has a smile on her face unless preparing for/in battle.
:P

I am not saying anything. I'm just surprised at how similar those two are. Sincerely, I don't even think you would steal the idea of a character so popular. It's just so amusing to find two ideas from two different people collide into each other... almost head-on.

Well at least this one has a reason to by athletic, I'm planning to give her futuristic clothing and a gun (if I can get it right with the hand ).

Just to have a better global idea of the camera angle, I used an old screenshot from VtM Bloodlines and tweaked it a little.

If anyone could tell me if the propotions match the perspective on the character, I'd be glad ^^'
Um... it looks good. But hey, here's a hint: go easy on the face... and the shading. I don't think human skins take that much shadings... unless they are like... popping out. o.o

Edit: I'm scared... D: (by the way she stands almost naked in the sewer!)

Get Me Gone - Fort Minor
The dude, he said that, like, when we were making the first Linkin Park record
He was like,
"Yeah you know, I don't know about the rapping like, I don't know... maybe you should just be a rock band."
You know what I mean, like, trying to change us
like they signed us as an act like what we sound like and then he's like
"Oh I don't know maybe you should just play keyboard"

Before the first song that you heard me on
There were people already tryin' to get me gone
Tellin' me to quit rapping
"Just play the keys"
That my band had a singer
They didn't need me
But my band had my back
So we did the tracks
Put out the album and the talk went flat
It was funny at first but then the humour faded
When some magazines printed that our label made us
We were to be good to be true
Some were saying ghost writers were writin' all that we do
So we had to disprove it
We spelled it out to the detail how we do it when we're making this music
After that I made it a rule
I only do e-mail responses to print interviews
Because these people love to put a twist to your words
To infer that you said something ****ing absurd

Oh, did I lose you at infer?
Not used to hearing a verse that uses over first grade vocabulary words?
People used to infer that we were manufactured
Now I've got the interviews on file
Which people said what
Which number to dial
So now every enemy screaming insanity
All they're ever gonna be's another big fan of me
*****

"hahaha"
"You beileve that?
Like, thats crazy
Sounds crazy right?
You're like this point -
at this point you figure-
you hear that and your like
"That guy is out of his mind"
But honestly at that point,
besides the fact that he wanted me to just play keyboard, or whatever,
he didn't want me rap,
he was like
maybe joe hahn should, um, wear a lab coat and a cowboy hat on st...like when we play
I swear to God he's crazy!
It was crazy..."

"Whats goin on with the cowboy hat?"

"yea... "
This song somehow popped into my mind lol

The background seems a bit small n my opinion xD
Nice theme though

Heh, yes, I knew that already but note is taken that it's pretty obvious to ppl's eye.
Actually it's an almost raw scan, and when i draw on paper, I do lineart, and excessive shading because 1/ my room is dark even with light turned on and 2/ I know I'll end up softening the contrasts digitally

"Edit: I'm scared... D: (by the way she stands almost naked in the sewer!)"
Yeah, and she's not catching a cold nor smelling the stinky odors of everyone's toilet flush remains, she's totally awesome As I said, it's only an old screenshot I used as temporary background for its perspective (I had more coherent stuff but it showed guns in 1st person ^^'), oh, and I plan to add her some clothing btw.

"The background seems a bit small n my opinion xD"
See above ^^ The idea is too create a background from scratch, maybe with some people or monsters badly injured (that's if I don't drop everything once again :I)

This is a cool thread and makes me want to do art again. I haven't done it for a long time. Its not that I'm lazy or anything, but rather I don't have that type of energy to execute what I imagine in my head. Many times it takes much much longer than expected to complete something, which I don't like.

When ever I develop a simpler and more unique way to execute my thoughts then I will return to art, until then I'm on a long break. Here is something I was working on sometime ago, its very incomplete though. So my apologies for that, I doubt I will go back to finish it because I want my expression of art to be much much different from this when I return.

Hey, very well done? What method you used?
It reminds me of the Elfen Lied opening somehow (although it was itself inspired a lot by another artist's work)

Really nice style!
Love the sense of abstract blended with the context of the picture ^^

I do everything in Photoshop. I never heard of Elfen Lied, but don't be surprise when I say things like that often because I don't watch t.v or anime. Its very very rare. Within the last 5 years I think I've sat down and watched one anime lol. That was Monster, I really enjoyed it.

Also, I got the style and how to do it from a dream.

Well that's solid skills you got there, and maybe a good quality tablet to use them at their best ^^

Here's my latest major update, I think I messed up with the face :s
