I like it I wanna draw stuff so bad, But don't have time. I have been working on an icon set for Windows XP though

well, schools back in, you know what that means? ive got time to draw again

anyways, i scanned a picture, i dont really wanna post it up cause ive gotta move a few things around but here's a profile of the character in it, i figure im gonna do what i did with the car back there cept im gonna draw this guy

keep in mind this is the FIRST phase of my picture, i havent even moved around / angled all the anchor points yet so dont judge yet! if you do, ill kill ya!

first phase is generally over... done the basic outline and pending some small changes (like raising the nose up) ill begin working on the details soon

well ever since i started drawing in photoshop years ago this was really the only thing i was trying to do, learning the little tools and everything else were an extra... i finally think im on the right track to drawing after failing miserably in quite a few past attempts anyways, heres another update of that same picture if anyones still paying attention... wish i could get some feedback from toriyama since he seems to be a pro at this stuff (where is he anyways )

He's always on 'Leave of Absence' probably his girlfriend has something to do with it Looking nice Strider. How much detail you planning on adding?

we'll see.... the hardest part is going to be getting the shadows and folds of the cloth to be right on with the twisting of the torso... also the main reason why its still white

i think im gonna go download some images later for reference

Good plan. For me I have troubles with hair, shadows ad textures. Probably some of the more important things Reference pics always help out.

hair isnt a big deal... i sometimes have trouble getting the lips right... one wrong turn and the guy looks like a girl folds and shadows are really the hardest parts of detailing for me... i gotta pay more attention to how things look like irl

I'm really only good at drawing women. As for drawing guys, I just can't. They always look like super hero's

i usually tend to get into phases of switching between the two every several drawing instead of every few since it can get confusing with all the differences in curves

Yes, very cool strider, but I think his hands, the part holding the sword is a bit weird.

meh, should look better once its done... though im actually starting to think that the sword should be behind him not in front so that the pose wouldnt be so damn uncomfortable to stay in ... in fact i think im gonna change that ... oh i love vectoring, makes drawing so much easier... putting the sword behind should take only several seconds
