The lineart looks nice. Reminds me a bit of Yuki from MoHS

As for this pic

It looks nice. But the girls color are very dark compare to the soft gentle bright colors on the back. Perhaps twink some levels setting or make the color of the girl softer so it looks more like a whole. As it is now the girl looks like she just got put above the background.

Vegeta demonstrated his newfound Ultra Super Saiya-jin power to Cell...he payed the price :P
(i wonder what Cell's drool tastes like...hehe)
BTW, This scene is taken from the manga/anime where Vegeta first fought Cell.

Anyway, another DBZ dirt from me

, made me wanna make one since Sparking! Meteor is already out (Jap, Budokai Tenkaichi 3 in US), hope i can play it soon (even in my busy sched)
The drawing almost made me puke though hehe, as i tried to imitate Cell's reaction lol (its how i draw -_-)

Here's my attempt on a coloring contest on dA, and I would like to know how the colors look; so, if you could drop any comment, it would be much appreciated^^. (haven't done any shading yet XP)

Nice enough already, but a dark blueish tint (as a general color variation layer) would probably give it more of a halloweenish touch (room with lights off+cold tint)

Mmm... here's my comments, Fadingz:

Good job!

Although... gradient is not always the best. Pay attention to the surface of the object you are coloring... and at least try to get the material right. If you gradient shade it, it may feel... ehh... not like the surface it should have.

Some surfaces are not as smooth as others... and... ehh... here's a good example: clothings vs metal!

For metal, the shading is insanely wide... and you can accurately capture just about ANY metallic surface with just gradient. Clothings, on the other hand, are kind of... grainy. The shadows on those surfaces are more abrupt and the contrast is quite high, especially at folds.

Mmm... just thought I'd point that out for ya.

If it's all too confusing, I think I'll post something again soon. o.o

XD thanx for the suggestion... but I really haven't done any shading yet, so the colors look as plain as they look so far (the gradient is for the purpose of light source). However, I really do want to know if the colors match of not ><

Meh... just kidding. The colors are fine. Some shadings... or less shadings would be nice.

Are you going for a realistic look or an... anime look?

Hmmm... anime look with multi layer shading I think XD (so in between? XP). I think I'll end up with 100+ layers again T.T (only have 20 layers or so so far...that means 80+ layers of shading and lighting T^T)

Okay... ahem... if you want to get that hair, my advice is... keep it freaking simple.

You don't need 3 different shades for your hair shadow... and then 10 different highlights for your hair. Your Tear pic obviously had only two shades for shadow... and one highlight, which is white. The rest of the thing was simply shaded, which made it extremely nice.

Just a very overused line here... but I think it'd be good if you work on the proportions of your line drawings as well.
