thats why you get a hard pencil (i mean the lead is hard not the wood ) and draw lightly on the paper, then when youre done with that you move onto the softer pencils which are darker also get some good erasers, i got a kneadable one from my art teacher, its pretty cool since you can form it to get into those small areas which are hard to erase

Well, they are quite expensive here, using them for my sketches would be a waste. BTW, it seems like we are the only ones posting stuff here now.

I just did this one tonight, for this contest. However, the deadline is June 30th, so I probably won't get a chance to enter. It took a few hours to finish and was done using pencil and ink. You can view a larger version here.

When I originally outlined it, I was about ready to throw it away, but I went and inked/shaded it, even though I didn't really like it. I still don't like the result too much, but I enjoyed working on it.

Note: Yeah, my lettering sucks. I really need to work on that.

Looks great and like Strider said, his left hand is a bit weird when he is opening the can.

Something I have wanted to do for a long time, but never had the drive to do it. Here is a rough of Duckman I just finished up in Maya. The plan is to make him for UT2K4, so that should be cool, since I have never seen any other Duckman models. Never made a UT model before (or any other game for that fact) so it should be a good learning experiance.

Yah, he rocks! Loved the show from day one, and was sad when it left production. Have every episode, so I have tons of referance for the model. Who knows, if this one goes well enough I may make a few more based of some of the costumes he wears in the show.

Got the DVD from the SE version of UT2K4 with all the VTM's 'n' stuff on it. Learning a great deal from them, and thats a good thing. Only part I'm not really lookin forward to is the animation, that takes quite some time from what I understand. Oh well.

Well, got around to a basic skinning for Duckman, and have my buddy ZeroFlux trying his hand at the anims. We are both in the n00bie learning curve here, so it should take a while to get up and into UT. but its coming along.

"original Mary"

One from me again; this is a version of Mary that's close to her original design; brown hair and different clothes (jacket) instead of the red hair, blue sweater, green pants that I usually draw nowadays. I like this better myself tbh.

Feedback is welcome
