call me a spam wh0re if you want but im up pretty late right now and i already posted one picture in the previous post... so to avoid confusion heres the result of my 8 hours of madness today

background completely hand drawn, tons of vectors, damn im tired... i just need to think up a title =p

ps, imageshack usually scales it down, so give it a quick click to get it back to original size

That is extremely familiar. No offence Strider but it looks like you just traced a pic from the anime/manga. :S

hm, thought i mentioned it before here (guess i did elsewhere but not here) but i did take the pose right out of one of the chuunin exam episodes (took a screencap) and duplicated a very small amount of the shadows (i also used that picture to get the coat to look right), the actual face looked a little different and i plan on changing it and adding eyes later anyways. Most of the shadows i tried to emulate from a picture from the 2nd opening/intro, though thats mostly on the head (its from the picture ill post below), the background i redrew with my own tablet though

cutie cards criftus :3 (nice alliteration x])
maybe you should use more shadows like in the first picture (bear) details create more interest (in the cutie comicstyle too :D)

uhm but sorry i have no idea why you post shodan - revision 02 ... if you post an artwork which is not made by yourself please indicate the author
(in my opinion also when someone post a plagiarism :/)

Thanks for your comments! =D I'll definitely add a few more touches to those other two based on those suggestions. *smiles*

For "Shodan - Revision 02", the original image it was based off of can be found here . I guess it's not really my work, but I think I changed it enough for it to qualify as my own ... wouldn't you agree? =)

I remember seeing a starcraft art on DeviantArt which is just one of the level intro with some added lens glare ... so IMO no matter how much you "touched" a picture, you should always mention the original artwork instead of just saying it's your own.

Edit: an example is this... I know it's crappy, but it took less than 5 minutes

Fair enough guys. =) I guess next time I'll be a little more thorough with my submissions. *smiles*

...But hypothetically, if I were to reproduce the original using vectors and brushes, then made the changes I did to the image, would it then be my work? o.o I guess regardless it would be wise to cite the original inspiration.

Cool design Kellicros, but actually, I wouldn't she's a girl if you hadn't said it.
What you could do for making her look slightly more feminine is to draw 2-3 upper eyelashes near the outer corners and/or draw the lips

Beside that, it's nice

My turn now, I started modeling an HL2 model (no facial expression yet).
Tell me what you guys think about it

(made 100% from scratch, including textures )
