thx

Quote:
it looks different from your other drawings, Strider, but I like it - you seem to have improved a lot too
i like to test out various different styles, overall i prefer to improve my ability to draw things that are realistic, but i also have a love for cell shaded and generally childish art styles like in the minish cap

for me are the lights the most difficult parts too =_=
it would be a great help if you look at some officils artwork (in different styles) to see whats the best place to put your lights ^^

jerrys nose and ear was a good place to set the light :3

sorry to double post but, if i didnt this would never get any more views since most people wouldnt notice the edit until 4 months from now

anyways i recoloured my old picture with my trusty drawing pad thats been in storage for probably over a year, i used to not really like using it because i wasnt using it for the right things, but now i see what i shouldve used it for, anyways, heres a newer version of the picture, i added in small strands of hair with a tiny brush

im gonna read up on some tutorials before i even try anything with the eyes

I like;
maybe you should use is as an avatar, then improve on it gradually, like kellicros did a while ago

(I'll also gladly help keeping this thread alive)

i might make an avatar of it later on kinda like how you and squally have made yours in the past but i gotta develop some things, plus size reduction sometimes really kills quality, especially with the hair strands ive added in, it kind of displaces pixels at small resolutions

glad to hear it, this is one of the last topics i enjoy visiting, i'd say maybe there should be a paint wars on the horizon... if i figured that many people would show up, its too bad cause the first paint wars was a lot of fun

oh, there always can be one, I just gotta be kinda certain there'll be some participants at least; the first was amazing, all the others (well, the third did reasonable) died out because of lack of participants. Maybe it would work better as a perpetual paint wars thread.
I could use it too - maybe it could get me drawing again; I just haven't been able to draw anything decent lately. Dunno what it is, maybe I got worse, or I think I did because I didn't improve, or I just realised how bad I am.

to make the hair texture dont use this fine hairs for this rough chibi anime hair its enoght when you cognize it via big light and shadow fields ^^

where are the shadow in the cuttling of the shirt?? ;P for shadows i wouldnt use so many filters (pencil and brusch brush brush @_@) ... only to smooth it a little bit.

eyes are easy ^^ at first try only to make a white oval point at the top of the black eye :3

yeah paint war was fun ^_____^ (It's a pity. i only joined the last one T-T)

uh, i dont do direct copying/tracing just like with my other artworks ive posted here so far, to tell you the truth, its a bit more difficult for me to do direct copying, since you are restricted to the outline or actual image, i drew those on what i remember on their common features, for example naruto has a feature of always being energetic and easily agitated so thats prolly the thing went into my mind and sketch his face.
