So it's a P4 Celeron Williamette @ 1.7GHz? You're better off using your other PC.. its CPU is far faster than that Willy 1.7.

Thats probably why i get **** benches. you reccomend a processor upgrade? is my MSI MS-6533 worth anything?

Yep. Your board supports all P4's on a 400MHz QDR bus, so.. any CPU you find would probably be another williamette. Try looking for a cheap 533MHz FSB capable board and get a 2GHz Northwood P4 (not Celeron!) or more, if you need. But, if you can't really afford to do that now.. use your other PC in the meantime. I assure you, its CPU is far more capable than your current, but does it have an AGP slot?

Were'nt there Northwoods with 400 FSB?

well all the cele's have 100mhz FSB afaik, so the quad pumped P4's have (crappy) 400mhz FSBs....

pretty bad, considering my athlon Xp has 333 duel pumped, or the P4B has 533 quad pumped and the P4C has 800 quad pumped.

800=200 533=133 400=100 AMD: 266=133 333=166

It's that not bad, if I ever can reach 133, I'll be in the 533 club.

Although the 200mhz QDR is very nice.

Yeah, SzL's effective FSB is higher than yours hushy, but not that it equates to anything useful on that cpu.

yeah, pretty much... athlons just keep getting more and more efficient, the athlon 64 3200+ is also 2200 mhz but much faster
