That's mine It's 0.13 and is very stable, I'm still on my old mobo, never had a prob, and hope to get another 300mhz at the least too prove my manhood with a 3ghz cele! I'm thinkin on using some AS3 when I move the CPU to it's new mobo, but I wanna see some application of AS3 on Socket478 cpus so I don't do any harm. This is currently the 2nd fastest cele out right now, it was the fastest up till a few weeks ago. Who knows maybe 3.2GHz is possible if I add a fan onto my chipset?

Anyway doesn't that HP monitor you got emit TONS of static? You case lid seems off too, that looks dangerous, I make sure I'm always grounded by touching the PS constantly and maybe even putting some rubber bands on my wrists since rubber doesn't conduct static. Here's my rig pic BTW.

I always leave my case side off(since it crappy and does not have a glass side or fan on it) to improve air flow-no problem here.

I edited my post back there. I use rubber bands aswell, I've got two nintendo rubber bands for that. As for the monitor & static, it isn't too bad. As long as the monitor doesn't touch my hardware I'm ok. Normally my sides are off and I've had them this way since I put the rig together. No problems at all.

Xinu0: Yeah, Much more real life effect this way. I love it. The Saitek P2500 is a frickin awesome pad too. Best I've ever owned.

Yeah but im afraid my monitor will fry my boxs guts. I'm thinking of modding the side of the case and putting one of those big ass fans on it with the grill to improve airflow since I will be doing some AGP and processor overclocking soon. I wonder which are the best...

Wow, somebody pinch me...I will soon have a motherboard with AGP8X!...and AGP period!

LOL

That's awesome my brother tried that to increase FPS in ZSNES back in the day (1998) with our old Pentium. Too loud, too much power wasted, my Dads been getting pissed that the electricity bills have gone up so I don't wanna add something that rediculous.

Um, your mobo doesn't have an AGP slot, so how are you going to overclock the AGP bus? Overclockign the AGP bus doesn't really do too much. When you OC via FSB, your PCI & AGP buses are OC'd automatically, depending on the multiplier. If you're on PCI 1/4, with an FSB of 146MHz, your PCI will be at 38MHz, 1/4 of the FSB speed. Same rule applies for AGP.

edit: better cooling is not going to necessarily increase speed, but in turn it will, if you're OCing.

Accually I just ordered a new mobo and it's on its way, probably gonna arrive tuesday. It's got HT support, DDR400 support, and what I wanted most about it is its AGP 8X slot!!! w00t!!!!! AGP!!!!!!!!! OMFG AGP!!!!!!! w00t for me (<--- Has never owned a AGP slot equipped computer in life.)

Anyway...ehem, I meant AGP card overclocking. Like taking your 1337 MX440 and overclocking it to f**king hell! Besides this mobo has this thing called hybrid booster that lets you overclock just the FSB if you want, so your other slots don't have to worry about the added stress, it's accually pretty neat, it says "Safe Overclocking". It will make a lil more heat when I OC my crap so I'd like better airflow. BTW, is your card 128-bit? If it is...your bandwidth is certainly not bad for a casual gamer range: 6.9GB w00t MX ownz...

Its not that bad. Its a fan-not that muchelectricity. I keep my door closed. I listen on headphones when the fan is on. Problem solved-for now. Once I get a new case ill just buy more fans.

Whered ya get your AGP card? I like the onboard HSF that comes with it, very slick looking and sexy , so I wouldn't need to buy another Vantec Iceberq to replace it....

OMFG I still can't believe I'm gonna have AGP at last! No more PCI BS!!! w00t!!!

Haha, 1.7ghz damn that would rape a equivalent P4, damn thats pretty sweet. What's your score in 3dmark2001se? I get 3800 on this PCI card but it beats the 2200 I got with my old PC and MX420 PCI combo...

AGP Rulez!

Someone pinch me, I can't believe I'm getting AGP!

Too bad Alienware is overpriced. It's nice stuff, but you can get the same for much cheaper.

I'm not sure since I oc'd it 1.75 (formatted and never bothered installing it again).. but at 1.50 I got 5183. I'll re-download 3dmark 2k1 se and test it out.

that's true, but like i said when i first got it...it's a lazy man's paradise. go there, config your computer, and have em send it to you next month. it comes very well put together (i was impressed!) and the quality is very good. if you are lazy and/or dont know anything about what parts to pick (which described me very well in teh summer, before i came to ngemu), then alienware is perfect. sure beats that dell/HP/compaq shizzle

Heh. Not 3DMark, but I thought I might as well post this. I know Sandra isn't the most accurate benchmark in the world, but as these cpus are all using the same program.. the rating itself should be accurate..

Tualatin forever. plz.
