Anyway YES the V2 indeed comes with 12mb of ram, and it owned back in its day. I'm getting a V5 soon hopefully and I'm guessing it will work with my MX440 too? I dunno, anyone got 2 PCI vid cards working together?

I might just buy a used PC as a flea market to try it out.
What? "V5 soon", wtf? You are getting a new mobo for AGP. Then you decide to buy crap agp card. You already have 2 other crap PCI cards. Now you want a vintage card.

BTW: Were you talking about the "real" movie of the anime? Or are they one in the same?

If you've got a gread modern card (like my GFFX 5900) I think it's totally worth it to SLI two V2 12MBs in the same system. That way ya just need one monitor and it's just like having legacy glide support built into your super leet modern PC. my other V2 died so I've just got the one
(and for those who don't know. the V2 is a 3d only card which means it has a passthru cable so the signal goes from your 2d capable card to the V2, and then to your monitor)

Ok, I think I see what he is saying. em..... whatever?

Erm, Ok. I misunderstood his first statement about the v2, and I was thinking a tnt2 card. Anyways, I was wrong. Sorry.

Yeah hushys got it right... You said get a voodoo and I was like, "? isnt the v2 a voodoo?". Anyway yeah I would probably buy a HERCULES 3D PROPHET MX200 AGP and slap on a Tt Blue Orb and some cheap ramsinks and overclock it to F**king hell...See the thing is, I want a FX5700 Ultra, but it's simply too much right now, so I'm looking for a short term solution, and this Hercules card I see on Ebay is just great. I also saw a GeForce GTS, maybe I can snag that for $20 or so bucks.

Here's a pic of the inside of mine.. forgot to attach in my rear case fan and cable ties (got some today ) before I snapped this. I'm thinking of adding some mods.. prolly a window and some cold cathodes. My FDD pooped out so as you can see I'm without one for a few days.. not too much to look at right now.. gotta add some style.

Hey cooliscool, how much power does your powersupply have? I think I have a 250W-300W one, which may pose a problem for later upgrades for me. LoL is that fan just SITTING on top of that chipset heatsink? Or does it have something to hold it in place? I recommend the blue orb or Vantec Iceberq BTW cools: Whered you use AS3 at? Example: vid card, cpu, etc.

Hushy: Show me a site that has a 5600 for $100. I've seen them for the cheapest $150, BUT that was the cheap version with only 128mb and I think even 128-bit memory... BTW, I hate Radeons

The fan is superglued on an aluminum chipset heatsink. Hehe. It does a good job though. My northbridge hits about 27C max. I have AS3 on my videocard core, northbridge, and CPU. My PSU is rated 350W, and it's of pretty good quality.

I wonder why AS3 helps average coolers perform so well

Erm.. that was an insult.

It increases contact between the chip & heatsink for better dissipation from the chip to the heatsink (lol). Thus nullifying the need for quality coolers as much. On average my celeron, which is on a 550MHz OC mind you, reaches about 34C MAX load. That's with my heater turned on. 0.13u baby!
