Whoa, an Athlon XP HS/F on a 5200. That's great.

My GeForce4 Ti really needs better cooling.. I can't take the core past 250 for the life of me. Been thinking of a way to ghetto rig my Tualatin's copper HS/F to it.. not havng much success. How'd you do it?

Well I used some very minimal amounts of krazy glue to keep it situated. Like 1 dot in each corner of the GPU with some thermal goop in between. Holds on nice and tight. Better damn well make sure the HS is sitting flat on the GPU.. I made double sure before I fired it up.

Probably not the best way to do it, but it gets the job done well. Plus it can be removed if needed, although a little tough to do. I did a similar mod with my old Voodoo3 PCI which got so damn hot. Except in that case I used only a Socket7 Pentium HS/F.

Anyways.. I actually tried to attach my old Tualatin HS/F but it didn't fit between the caps and whatnot. The Tualatin HS is not nearly as high then what I have on there right now though. Would have been nice though, could have had an extra PCI slot. Damn P3B-F only has 5 total... Stupid ISA slots.:P

Just to touch again on Memory Express, they are a very decent store, and expanding into more cities is even better. My buddy just blew up his mobo, and he got it tested (we knew it was toast before they tested it) and he is getting a replacement to use as his is being RMA'd in the meantime.

My current computer sucks! 1GHz P3, 256mb pc133 ram, 64mb gf2. The speakers, sound card, monitor, and MX duo are parts for my new computer.

Here is my setup.
Well nothing fancy but gets the job done.
I'll take this PC to the limit and then move on to the next one.

Got my new comp up To get the door to close right and the CD-RW drive in correctly, I had to file down the edges. It was a PITA to get in. Once I did get it in right, I found out it was upside down No wonder the screws were so hard to get in... Anyways, the first pic is of my stupidity. The second is of the family comp ghettoized. Stupid HP case didn't allow much room. The socket was not to the far left like the original. Had to get a shot of that before I moved the stuff in my old case. The 3rd pic is before the lighting and wire management and the 4th being after I arranged everything nicely. The 5th is a closeup of my BFG 6800 So far, I got my mobile 2400+ at 10x200MHz. Haven't had too much time to run prime95, but after 2 hours, my peak temp was 45C, idel around 40C. No voltage increase so far either.

Man I just found out my ram I had for my server box was only 96mb >_< Suse is installing very slowly. On another note I originally ordered a 1.8ghz celly, but I guess they didnt have any so they gave me a 2.0ghz for the same price

Going to pick up 256mb of pc2100 on Friday I hope, along with some AS5. The thermal pad on the stock hsf burnt up reeeealy quick XD. Idle temps are 50ish. Not sure about load yet.

Yeah I know. Speeze is a very good company, they make amazing cooling products for great prices. I bought a Speeze case fan for $1.50 and it's better than my vantec I paid $8 for. It has nice black sleeving, a molex and mainboard connector on the same cord, spins at 3500RPMish. Speeze forever.

I see your RAM isn't in Dual Channel mode.. move one of those sticks to the for right slot for some added memory bandwidth.
