Sorry to hear that Zeke... That reminds me of when my old PSU took my Tualatin with it. My CUV4X-E has been a bit strange ever since. But it still works though.

What a coincedence Zeke, my mobo should be here tuesday aswell.. can't wait to start OCing this thing! Got this mobo for $65 off newegg and it uses an Intel chipset and TONS of features (SATA anyone ). It's got nothing but awesome review too, I think I got myself a good deal..

I was going to buy basically the ECS equivalent for $55 but I've got a bit extra money so I might as well get what I can.. the HS/F and mobo came out to $78.94 USD w/ S&H.

My motherboard <-- check out those features .

My HSF <-- not the best in the world, sure but it should hold me over.

I have built 3 systems with the non-SATA version of that exact same board... OC is quite easy on it. Now my conundrum is that i kinda dig Mandrake in all its limitations... I will still need to use it untill i can get a new PSU. but after my XP box is up and running I don't see the need to maintain the Mandrake box.

Once my motherboard and HSF arrive from Newegg (monday or tuesday most likely) I'll take some pics of the inside with the new hardware.
You really need to spraypaint that beige drive black I like my case because it has a door and hides all my ugly drives Link looks awesome though

I'm always afraid I'll mess up the job if I try.. but yeah, it does look pretty tacky like that.. I need a new case too, I've dropped this one twice, got a big crack in it. It's aging now anyway.. I want to get a Guardian.. man those are nice.

Oh yea. Getting a new case makes all the difference on thw world I want a Cooler Master, with a custom paint job ...

Painting it won't be so hard. If your cover pops off it makes all the difference. And if it doesn't masking tape is your friend

meh, my camera has horrible low light exposure and crap. If the flash is off its a complete blur and stuff...how do you all get such nice dark and glowy shots? (aside from getting a better camera )

Well the trick with Digital Cameras is to not hold them I always have some boxes in my office so I postition them and shoot away once it looks nice. Plus I close my blinds and only leave them open a crack Also a tripod is great if you have one.

Well if you have a 2MP+ it should look good resized at 800x600 Plus for every shot I take I do one with a flash and one without, then I choose which one I like better, insead of having to take them all over again.

/me pets his 5MP camera

Yeah, my 2 Megapixel Kodak camera's pics don't look great at their native res of 1600x1200, I always resize them to 800xXXX (aspect ratio preservation).

Here's some more pics.. I have a great way of keeping my cables organized. ELECTRIC TAPE! My desk remains largely unchanged from the last time I posted it, besides the monitor.

1: Re-doing my volt mod wire to get 1.70V on boot, allowing for higher overclocks. Took one stick of RAM out so I could get my HSF off. Nice glop of AS5 on the IHS.

2: My Desk. Meh, boring.

3: Shot of my PC's insides.

4: Shot of my PC's insides with the flash off.. now all I need are some cathodes and a lighted CPU fan.

5: Another shot of the insides with the flash on. Apperently one of my 128MB DIMMs was ghey and wouldn't allow me to run at 150FSB for anything without crashing my whole PC, so I took it out, now have 384MB (256 + 128) running at 150MHz CAS 2-2-2-5. The odd thing about that is that the one I took out is from a twin 128MB set, the 128MB stick I have in my PC now is the exact same. Must have just gotten a ****ty one.

Hehe.. thanks.. (of course if it was not sarcasm).. I just don't find my rig too 1337 Prolly cause I'm so used to it.

The monitor is pretty good but the speakers on it suck ass, I wish they came off. It's as good as you'd expect any sony monitor to be. It's ages old but it will go up to 1280x1024 @ 75Hz.

It's cool though, I like it.

I have a cheap HP monitor.

I want a trinitron again. Or an LCD.
