HOLY CRAP!!! one time my friend brought over his 3 year old Dell and i sprayed the insides out with a compressed CO2 can...but....the carnage was not as bad as this.

especially check out the one of the front fan (and the slot where a fan should be).

by the way: 3 of them, you'll need to either turn your head or manually rotate the file...on their side they are too big for ngemu's upload function
Awesome. That computer looks sweet inside.

I know the way to get some respect from you guys in terms of computers is to get a Pentium 4. Powerleap has a 2.8GHz and even a 3GHz 400MHz buss P4's for sale. They're around $160-200. Or I could just get a 2.2-2.4GHz for cheaper, but would they outperform my Celeron?

Anyway, Hushy, my brothers computer is far worse. You could literally die from inhaling the amount of dust inside it. It wasn't like that when I used it, but he's got alot of crap in his room, and it's full of dust. I need to get another air-ina-can to clean that crap out. I'm thinkin of building him a new rig altogether, since that one is 1.)Loud as fock 2.)Runs hot as fock. He wants a more quiet machine, and I could get him one, with a little more power too. Tualatins are like $30 on newegg.com now. :xomunch:

Thats a nice case! I think when N1ghtw0lf was looking for a new case we saw that one on newegg. It looks damn useful and cool

Hushy: That's a pretty serious case of computer dust infestation . Reminds me of when I opened up all the Dells in one classroom at school (30-35 of them). They hadn't been dusted out since the computers were purchased (2001) so they were extremely dusty. I had to bring one of those cotton face masks you see in hospitals because it was so bad . That network card sure does look familiar . Is that computer running a lot cooler/quieter now?

yeah, it is...it was idling at 41 case 51 CPU but now it idles at like 41 CPU and 30 something case. i think the paste is messed up or something or the Volcano 6+ Cu is that much of a POS because under P95 it gets to like 56º C....i'lll have to do something about that before i leave

I think I have told you, but scotch brite pads work wonders for dust, and they are cheap! Which remindes me, I have to change mine

but...i dont care about dust. i care about airflow and a cool case. so i'd rather clean my case out every month or two rather than have hotter temps all year round

what are the temps when you take them out then? they are undoubtedly lower.

i've talked to n_w95482 when he takes off the front grille on his case, when he does that the case temps drop a few degrees, taking the CPU temp with it.

like i said, low temps are much more important than the chore of spraying out dust with a can of air

Well, its all about where you want the dust. I would rather keep it out of my hardware, and in the pads. Sure it can slow down airflow, but all that dust clogging out your heatsinks etc does the same thing. So I guess they both raise the temps, just depends how often you clean your system.

Yeh, Raidmax makes surprisingly decent cases.

It's because of the filter that my case came with (and the holder for the filter). If I put the filter on I can hear my fan RPM go up a bit so I guess that means that less air is getting to the fans so they have less resistance. Taking off the side panel though... now that makes a BIG difference (40 C idle to 31 C in a hot room after a couple of minutes). I suppose my bad cabling skills are part of the blame so I might redo my PSU cabling sometime this summer . If I do I might borrow my friend's camera and take some high quality pictures and a movie .

since a tragic mishap with my PSU, I am sans my CPU and MB. Rather than kick my boy off of his, I dragged this outta the garbage:

Duron 1.1Ghz

512MB (256x2)OCZ DDR Dual-Channel RAM
2x Maxtor 4GB ATA66 drives
SIS 4MB PCI card
Liteon 32x CD-RW
ECS/Shuttle K7S5A

That, is one kick ass case! Sorry to hear you PSU took other hardware with it, I could have been in that same boat not to long ago. Thankfully I wasn't however.

That sucks Zeke..

Here's some pics o the front of my PC. I just bought a Link keychain thing and since I never carry keys around I thought I'd take him off and superglue him to my case. Looks pretty cool I think.

Once my motherboard and HSF arrive from Newegg (monday or tuesday most likely) I'll take some pics of the inside with the new hardware.
