You guys won't believe this, I checked out my oldest machine (the PIII-700 system) and discovered that it had a 400W power supply. My duron system has a 200W, and my willy had a 250W. I had unplugged the zip drive on my willy system, cause something funky was happening with the power. So now my zip drive works again!

Well, my brother brought back the digital cam at last. Found it on the table after my friend dropped me off at home after school. So here are, as requested(at least by Hushy), the pics of my PC's guts

Notice the rubber bands to hold the SUNON case fan in place It was made for a 90mm fan but I miscalculated, so I had to improvise

Oh and a few pics of my screen while I was doin this, hehe

LoL, can you see the rubberbands? I still think it's pretty organized for a rat pack small case. BTW do you like my pics and my screen?

the case is the Antec Lanboy (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...129-126&depa=0). it's an EXCELLENT case, very light, small, but has lots of space for a little case. the only problem is that it's a bit flimsy (due to being aluminum). but otherwise it's awesome. did i mention that it has a windowed side and comes with a carrying strap, and it's only 84 bucks?

yeah, we got 2 90mm fans...so we stuck the 90 on the back and screwed one in and tape the other corner. for the front, it has a holder so a 90mm wont fit. so her >dumbass< dad went down to radio shack and bought a crappy 80 mm fan with barely any flow. and it didnt have a regular connecter either, we have to electrical tape the positive and negative into the other fan plug

Yeah, im hushy's friend who oc'd his pf from 2.4 to 2.8 with the stock cooling. i just applied as5, and my temps seem to be running fine. around 38-39 winamp idle, and around mid 40's in games, with around low 50's under full load during the torture test in prime95. for some reason, prime95 gets an error when i run at with my cpu at 2.9, any suggestions?

Did you try increasing the CPU voltage? I had to do that to my Athlon for it to hit 2.2 GHz.

hushy: Those are some nice pics . /me wants that 9700 Pro . Did you get the CPU speed problem fixed?

uhm well since my **** mobo over volts...its currently running at 1.6 when i set it 1.525. im afraid im going to kill the cpu if i increase the voltage. but when i increased it one notch up, so when it overvolted it got 1.636, and it was still unstable at 2.9. *shrug. what is the voltage that is the safest to oc at?

I don't think 1.6v is enough to go stable im Prime95. You're gonna need 1.75+ volts for that bad boy

Use the wire trick and your voltage will be set to a default of 1.75 and you should be able to squeeze 200+ more out of it. It'll slice it's life in half(from 12 to 6 years) but who cares? It'll be a dinosaur by then anyway. If you need any help with the wire trick I can help you, I did it and was able to reach 3.3ghz from my less stable 3ghz from before.

Hushy: Matsonic? LoL what brand is that? Link?

SzL: You try too hard. You think you know more than you actually do. When you say things about PCs or Hardware, it comes out crap that makes no sense.

Dig my drift yo homez? Dawg?

Wha? Dude I read about this everywhere on the internet, and have done it myself, I think I know what I'm talking about. I'm not trying too hard for anything, especially on a forum on the internet like this. You feel me?

I'm just gonna assume you're in a bad mood.

BTW, northwoods usually need at least 1.7v to run stable at higher speeds like our friend here needs. I have a crappy board and was able to squeeze out some MHz even though my mobo is crappy.
