From Anime: Japanese cartoons, but that hardly justifies it.
In Japanese culture, rather than watching a soap opera, or a regular film, they watch anime, they can be fairly adult in theme (an no I'm not talking hentai here... most of the time)

Oh, sorry. :o Yeah, you wouldn't do that to a little kid unless you really wanted to kill them mentally, and only a sick batard or pedophile would. But, seriously, there has to be a point when kids are exposed to sex, and it has to be preteen. Knowledge that is saved for later can often be helpful.

None too truer. There are not many live-action shows in Japan, so it stands to justification. And it's pretty sad how American civilisation has pretty much miffed anime mainly because of the teaching of cartoons being for kids. Even the comic book industry, who would've probably accepted anime slightly, pushed it back, and it problably won't until that new artist at Marvel starts producing the Uncanny X-Men monthly that we might see a bit of change in that.....
