I have been to Germany 5 times and it's just plain awesome. That's a pic of Hungary but Germany has pretty much the same look in many of it's small towns.

The pics make me homesick...eventhough I am not german by birth or country of residence, I am so by descent and at heart and I long to return to that beautifull country.
Yes, I was just about to say the same, there's so much history hidden in Europe, it's impossible to see it in one lifetime. Today I just realized how lucky I am having met people from all over the world which allows me to see so many places already, and I owe NGEmu for it as well

To be honest, I found that Hungarian architechture reminded me of typical German and Austrian buildings, but also with a hint of mediterainian in it. Btw, you were right about the food prices as well, it really surprised me seeing how affordable a meal like that can be, seeing how here we'd spend 3 or 4 times as much for it, unfortunately. On the other hand it's cheap to me, being from a country where I make as much in a week as they do in a month. So I do need to relativate things. It's also to show a bit about the general idea of what you could get to eat there. I've had quite a few dishes with bread-crummed stuff, but it really tasted nice. In fact it even made me enjoy cauliflower

And I think it's really one of the best things when living with a family when you get to eat typical stuff. Of course they went a bit out of their way to show me the good things, but I really enjoyed what I ate. To me the typical stuff is rather sober, and in that respect it reminded me of home. Just some veggies, potatoes/rice and a piece of meat, nothing fancy but they do put effort into making things enjoyable despite the "limitations" given by budget and availability. Of course it helps that I'm crazy for onions and paprika, both of which I've had quite the bit that week

My thanks to you all, Chrono, Skore and PCXL.
Skore: Yeah, I posted a goodbye message in the right thread, but it's on the old server. I couldn't get into the "real" Emuforums until yesterday.
PCXL: I highly enjoyed the country as well, it's not something that would be first on my list to visit, but as I was there I did took the effort to absorb most of it as possible. Like Schumi also said, Europe's got so many beautiful places, and I think that there's many that are a lot better than this
Chrono: Yeah, I completely agree with you, though I never really did wrong with them, well once, but that's because I mentioned her mother that I shared the family name of the woman her ex-husband had married a year ago. So if you're ever in such a situation, leave the family name out of the introduction
My main problem was that I had the problem of not knowing their language, and that she had a very long relationship until shortly after that Belgium trip. And usually parents are really looking for long term stuff, living so far away that also gives less certainty there. I think the look in their daughter's eyes was reason enough to give me benefit of the doubt on the first day, and to make things work out well later on. I'm a happy man.

Yes germany is nice. Some of the old towns still have medieval and renassance style houses with exteriors that will last another 400 years, unlike houses now days that are made quick and out of quickly degrading biomaterial. I've been to there, Switzerland and 50 feet across the border into Chekoslovakia for 15 minutes

Cid Highwind: Well its sad to see you leaving. But I guess you need to move on with your life and will be very busy with other things. As a last ditch effort perhaps the staff can mod or admin you now and guilt trip you into spending more on these forums. . Tell me, I've alwasys been wondering what 80s hair metal band is that in your sig? oh wait nm Gamma Ray duh... nice they are pretty good.

Leaving? Who said anything about leaving? I just said I put a goodbye message there, mainly just to let people know I'm not dead yet if I don't post for a week. But I don't know how it ended up with the server transition. I'm not planning on leaving Emuforums anyway, it's the best waste of time anyway, well apart from sex, but NGEmu is easier to access right now

And yeah, Gamma Ray, listen to them, they rock

It seems that you're living it up Cheesus. Everytime you post a pic, you're doing something awesome/fun. Do you even have parents? Did they just abandon you as a baby and made you fend for yourself? It seems that you do a lot of "adult" activities and parents are nowhere to be seen.

BTW: Why are you in that pic of you buckling up your pants? What were you doing?

Dude, last Saturday we threw the second beer olympics. 150Pints xD ****ing ridiculous (No pics tho, only videos).

I just finished the exams, school is no longer obligatory for me, and I soon start work (summer job), gotta make every second I'm free worth it

And yes, I do have parents lool. And, while they probably can do the math of what actually goes on behind the scenes. But my dad was probably just as bad, and he turned out pretty decent, so I figure all's good ^^. So long as I don't screw myself over in the long term (too much), I figure I'll be fine Independence over interdependence, right?

@the buckle
Taking a tinkle... perv

Much love TCOS

Hup Holland hup!! Kudos man

Sounds like an awesome weekend Cheesus, beer olympics, sounds so much more appealing than people trying to throw a big thing as far as possible.
