![]() To be honest, I found that Hungarian architechture reminded me of typical German and Austrian buildings, but also with a hint of mediterainian in it. Btw, you were right about the food prices as well, it really surprised me seeing how affordable a meal like that can be, seeing how here we'd spend 3 or 4 times as much for it, unfortunately. On the other hand it's cheap to me, being from a country where I make as much in a week as they do in a month. So I do need to relativate things. It's also to show a bit about the general idea of what you could get to eat there. I've had quite a few dishes with bread-crummed stuff, but it really tasted nice. In fact it even made me enjoy cauliflower ![]() And I think it's really one of the best things when living with a family when you get to eat typical stuff. Of course they went a bit out of their way to show me the good things, but I really enjoyed what I ate. To me the typical stuff is rather sober, and in that respect it reminded me of home. Just some veggies, potatoes/rice and a piece of meat, nothing fancy but they do put effort into making things enjoyable despite the "limitations" given by budget and availability. Of course it helps that I'm crazy for onions and paprika, both of which I've had quite the bit that week ![]() My thanks to you all, Chrono, Skore and PCXL. Skore: Yeah, I posted a goodbye message in the right thread, but it's on the old server. I couldn't get into the "real" Emuforums until yesterday. PCXL: I highly enjoyed the country as well, it's not something that would be first on my list to visit, but as I was there I did took the effort to absorb most of it as possible. Like Schumi also said, Europe's got so many beautiful places, and I think that there's many that are a lot better than this ![]() Chrono: Yeah, I completely agree with you, though I never really did wrong with them, well once, but that's because I mentioned her mother that I shared the family name of the woman her ex-husband had married a year ago. So if you're ever in such a situation, leave the family name out of the introduction My main problem was that I had the problem of not knowing their language, and that she had a very long relationship until shortly after that Belgium trip. And usually parents are really looking for long term stuff, living so far away that also gives less certainty there. I think the look in their daughter's eyes was reason enough to give me benefit of the doubt on the first day, and to make things work out well later on. I'm a happy man.

Leaving? Who said anything about leaving? I just said I put a goodbye message there, mainly just to let people know I'm not dead yet if I don't post for a week. But I don't know how it ended up with the server transition. I'm not planning on leaving Emuforums anyway, it's the best waste of time anyway, well apart from sex, but NGEmu is easier to access right now
![]() And yeah, Gamma Ray, listen to them, they rock
