GCEmu Launcher, Version 0.1a (Update Feb26)

Here is a small Frontend for GCemu, It has some basic features and is extreamly easy to use. I hope to add some GCEmu control over it soon, so keep an eye out for that.

Update - Feb 26:
- Erorr catching
- Bug fix, you can now run games and directorys that have spaces

NOTE: GCEmu Launcher.exe and gmdoscom.dll must be in the same directory as GCEmu.exe.

hmm id just like to point out a few things that coul be easily fixed.
first, the problem with spaces in the path like DJ said.
second, you could add error catching like say when the Launcher isnt in the same folder as GCemu... you know, give an easy to understand message about whats wrong.

ohh and id like to know what the "NGEmu settings" is...

I will release a update with the things you mentioned when I can and NGEmu settings will be things such as SEE2 enabled and disabled, Region, etc. I forgot to remove the header from this release.

okay, spaces are working now

but the Launcher window "freezes" (it gets the: "not responding" message in the taskmanager) when it launched the emu (does it stop handling messages ?) maybe you can look into it. It comes back alive when you close the emulator so it's not really a problem but it looks a bit nasty (window goes all white)

ediblebird: Glad to hear it

DJ ZOOi: You cant change settings while you in the emu, I dont see why you would need to. Gave me a idea for next update (closing GCEmu Launcher after game launched.)

I understand that you can't change the settings but the entire window is freezing on me... Windows says: "Not responding" when I look in taskman. When I close the emuwindow it responds again, so it's no big deal but it just looks a bit dodgy.

When I see an application which doesn't repaint/respond when I click on it I assume something is wrong. I think your code stops handling windows messages after you've launched the emu which is why the window doesn't get repainted when you give it the focus.

So it's just a thought to look into that, again... it's no big deal but it would make it more professional

Oh btw, closing the manager after launching the emu would be a shame cause that means you have to restart it when you want to try multiple games. I like being able to close the emu and pick a new game from the manager and launch that (maybe an idea for next versions: make a listbox with available GCM's (as most emulators have)).

when i close the window of the game the manager stays open...
thats the way it should stay. its more user friendly

When I said closing after emu has started I meant it as a option (ie, you click a box that says close Launcher after loading) I would'nt make it so you have to open the launcher everytime, that would be so annoying.

I agree thats a good option

one question when do you believe that the settings that you mentioned will be implemented under NGEmu(sorry if i sound pushy) becuase i like your frontend...

I like Gcemu Manager too, but something about Gcemu launcher i like more(Sorry if i offend anyone)

@ruantec-Man, thanks, your frontend is awsome, its the one I use (for now :P) Im still trying to work out how you did certain things (such as SSE2 enabling, etc) but im sure I will get it.

ediblebird, Cool to see that you like my frontend I could add a update now (I have only added, close when launched and a small embeded compat list so its not worth it right now) So as soon as I figure out how to get control over the region, etc. I will (I know it can be done since @ruantec-Man's front end does it, but since this is my first frontend and im nothing of a great coder or have a great understanding of how emulators work, I guess to short answer is, I will release the update as soon as I can.
