Newby question, did'n find it in FAQ.

A college of mine wants to buy an Xbox for the possibility to play with 2.

Can this emulator use multiple joysticks and therefore multiple players?

Xbox or GC emulator?
If u mean GC emulator only Dolphin can support Joystick.

There is no current NGC emulator that lets you play multiplayer (that I know of) and only Dolphin has Gamepad plugins (You can however use a Gamepad/Joystick in GCEmu using a program like Joy2key)

Is it possible to set the keys to something other than the default?

You can if you change the source and compile it yourself, theres no cfg file for the keymapping.
