[360] Lumines Live! BOOSTER PACK

A couple weeks ago I was browsing the new downloads section of Live Marketplace, and one of my favorite words popped up: LUMINES. Sweet.

It says at the beginning that it was designed by some Japanese artist. I don't know how they keep making the skins better...Base mode was mediocre, Advanced was pretty sweet, but these new Booster pack skins are some of the BEST I have ever played in Lumines.

First of all, they are upping the graphical ante. More interesting color variations and combinations are presented, rather than the same boring ones--how many times do we have to play red/white, orange/white, or just any color with white?? Not in booster pack--out of the 20 skins, I think only one is like that. Upon seeing some of them for the first time, I was blown away. There is one level which is really low contrast blue on blue, and you get used to feeling like you're in a cloudy landscape...but the next level is a bright whitesilver/brownred, and it seems to leap right out of the screen into your eyes--very cool.

The music on this new pack is fantastic as well--dare I say these songs are the best ever? I'm really digging the new tunes, and being that they are an integral part of the game, this is very important.

This game was definitely worth the 600(?) credits I paid for it. I'm gonna play it a lot, my girlfriend is gonna play it a lot, and people who come over to my house are going to play it. Definitely worth it for me. Lonely gamers, it does offer 20 new skins, so if you're a Lumines fan and you plan to play this through to completion more than once, then pick it up.
