The new DS Castlevania screens - real or fake?

Maybe you 'vania fans out there have already heard about this, but some screenshots are circulating the net right now that purport to be from Konami's next DS installment of the series. Allegedly the employee who's leaked them has been fired, and Photobucket has removed some uploads of the screens for "TOS violations," though that doesn't necessarily mean they've been contacted by Konami themselves. But I might as well show you:

IGN's article on the rumors is here.

So what do you think? Do they look real? Are these the kind of shots you'd get via the emulator (or whatever) Konami uses?

Personally, I'd say they're phony bologna.

Hmm. I haven't heard of it and to be honest not too sure what to this about this. The only really real-like to me seems to be is the bottom left one, with the crab. I mean since dawn of sorrow castlevania went for a more anime look and they would scrap it already? (the girl shot, middle) but i don't know. Time will tell.

Yes, because it sucked from the begining.

Anyway. The screens looks real enough. I hope is true.

It looks really good. We should wait for more information from Konami.

i have never seen another franchise being milked in such an amazingly enjoyable way. so far i have enjoyed every single installment since the first GBA one, i find that very unusual. i can only say, bring it on.

There is a nice 5 in 1 pack for the PC that has Catlevania I-II-III and 2 other games, there's a nice Super NES Castlevania IV, there's the Playstation Castlevania SoTN and then there are 3? Castlevania's for the Game Boy Advance.

I own all of them except the 'first' Castlevania on the GBA, Circle of the Moon, I gave it to Charline. I think there's a NES or two NES Castlevanias out for the GBA as well, but I can't remember at the moment.

Most of the time I run ZSNES, I play Castlevania IV, man I suck at it! but I enjoy playing the game!

Castlevania!

But...?! Mario?
Mario Kart? Awesomness! Super Smash Bros (come on, the bros HAS to come from Mario )? Pure awesomness! The REAL mario games? Pure Awesomness!

More on-topic : Kinda sad that they don't find more useful uses for the top screen.

Mario Kart was SNES-Wii, Castlevania was NES/GB-Wii, two or three extra generations.

Super Smash Bros was N64-Wii, or was there a Smash Bros for the SNES? I don't think so?

Super Mario wasn't great for every version, but I don't want to get too off topic.

Well, by talking about Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros I'm talking of them as a whole franchise, the Mario franchise . Since Mario Kart and even in a big way, Super Smash BROS (even the "Super" kinda feels Mario-y, Super Mario Bros anyone? ) seems to both be derived from the same franchise, I was talking about all of them as being "milked" from a franchise : Mario.

But no one got any confirmation about the game? I would have expected the screens to have been leaked from a event (There's a event going on, isn't it? Don't remember the name... GDC?) so I was kinda expecting a official announcement too.
