Cortex Command
There's probably already quite a few of you who know about this little indie game, but I thought it would be nice to spread the word a little more. Basically, Cortex Command is a little nifty awesome-physics who puts you in charge of building a little base/bunker where you will store/defend your "brain" (basically : You, weak but in control of everything) and from where you will command robots/dummies/ships. The game revolve around receiving (after buying) armed robots to defend/attack, using other robots to mine around the map for gold (used to buy stuff) and trying to either defend yourself or destroy the enemy brain. But the real fun come from the great physics and how everything can be destroyed in little pieces (and battlefield will soon end up covered in shrapnels). Little gif taken from the mainpage of the website, showing quite well the physic/destruction part of the game : ![]() (ground/bunker can all be destroyed, depending on what is used to destroy it) The game is endless of fun because of the multiple possibilities of stuff to do AND the communities is constantly modding the game, again and again to add more sprites, weapons, stuff, ANYTHING. So really, the game is worth at least trying the demo : http://www.datarealms.com/downloads/ccsetup.exe Funny thing : The dev googled for possible crack of the game and, not finding any (except viruses), issued a little challenge (for fun and giggle) : "UPDATE: That being said, if you do find a working crack, or you manage to crack it yourself, we’d love to see it! You will be rewarded with a free license key to the game (seriously)! Remember, any crack will probably only work for one version, while the key will legitimately unlock all versions up to and including when the full campaign is done! UPDATE 2: Ok a couple of people managed to actually send real legit cracks they had made themselves (great job!), and they collected their rewards. No more keys will be handed out, so please stop spamming us with links to “maybe this is a crack?!” websites. Thanks! " But really, the game is worth the price, if only to actually support indie developers trying to be original. -------- The latest update is what made me buy it, I'll try to make some mods (and if anyone else around here wanna jump in to do something, we'll try and join force, to show that here at Emuforums, we know how to screw up together!).

I stumbled upon this game a few months ago and fell in love with it. the second they put up the pay page i had to throw my money at them, cause i really want to support this game and see where it'll go. i remember the moment i fell in love with it. the cpu was sending a dropship full of troops, and i blew it up and one of the engines shot off like a rocket and smashed into the back of one of my troops heads sending chunks everywhere.

I had that happen but with my one dropship coming (engine rocketing into my dropship). The best things with the game is the little surprise we get from the engines.
