Unhappy help with devil may cry 3 SE PC

Well everything goes well until the first mission i can see all except the background jajajaja i mean i can see dante and the sword efects and the enemies and all that... i can see the healt bar and the crazy bar but for the rest i just see a white screen.

I killed all those enemies and when i play mission 2 everything is fine, i can see all and when i start mission 3 the problem comes again..

I read somewhere that it was because of my video card and i can't do anything about it jeje but i also read that you can play the game with 3danalyze and i tried that too but when i click the RUN button it just closes without any error message.

And when i create the batch file and click it, it opens the 3d analyze and then the screen of the game comes and it dissapears but this time i get something in a dos windows that just says the rute of the 3d analyze and the rout of the DMC3SE.exe file....

Well i hope you understand my problem jejejeje

With a bit more information on your PC specs, we might actually be able to help...

Being a DirectX 7 chip, there's probably not much you can do other than buying a new videocard that knows how to deal with DX9 commands. There's minimum requirements on the box with a reason. 3dAnalyze isn't a magical cure for 5 year old hardware.

Edit: 7 year old

I dunno about that, I've had games run on minimum specs, but if you try fudging the video card, things can get ugly!

There's always minimum requirements and then a minimum graphics card...you have to comply with both, just having a card with 128MB means nothing.
I would assume the game was looking for something more along the lines of a GeForce 5200FX or a Radeon 9200.

Schumi is right, here are the requirements:

Quote:
Supported OS: Windows® 2000/XP (only) Processor: 1 GHz Pentium® III or AMD Athlon" (or better) RAM: 256 MB Video Card: 128 MB DirectX® 9.0c-compliant AGP or PCI Express graphics card (256 or higher for High Graphics Detail support) (see supported list*) Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compliant (or better) DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c or higher (included on disc) CD-ROM: 12x or faster CD-ROM Hard Drive Space: 1.2 GB minimum Peripherals Supported: Gamepad

*Supported Video Cards at Time of Release NVIDIA® GeForce" FX/6/7 families

Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported. For an up-to-date list of supported chipsets, video cards, and operating systems, please visit the FAQ for this game on our support website at: http://support.ubi.com.
Taken from: Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Special Edition - PC game

I suppose you didn't understand that when they say you need a Direct X 9.0C videocard it means your card needs to be able to support effects that are done using DX9.0c, not just having installed DX9. You're out of luck man, sorry. Your videocard only supports up to DX7.

i ment to not rely on minimum specs alone to determine if your pc can play the game or not.

But that is what I'm saying, I've ran games at minimum specs, but the OP was trying to run a game that required a DX9 card with a DX7 card.

I've ran Prince of Persia, the Two Thrones, Taito Legends 1 and 2, Unreal Tournament 2004, and a number of other games on my PC with minimum specs, but I know better than to try and run a DX9 game with a DX7 video card.

Ok i have changed to my sister's computer here are the specs:

Pentium 4 2.66 MHz

Video ATI Radeon Xpress 200 - 256 MB
Ram 1Gb

The problem here is that it is even slower than in my computer ¿Why is that?

I check the task manager and it says PC use 2% i have every program closed and then start the game but it just is slower than in my computer (wich is 7 years old )

You need a new graphics card. Its ancient, if you want to play ANY game, get a new one.

"ATI Radeon™ Xpress 200
The industry’s first chipset with DX9"

That 's the video card that the computer has and it does support DX9

It supports it alright, but it isn't fast enough to pull of the DX9 effects used in games. It looks nice on paper being able to promote the DX9 label, but in practice it's useless. The X200 chipset is only nice for office stuff.
