Question about Burnout Dominator...

I rented the game earlier this week and tried the Playstation 2 port.
It seemed to not have much open at the beginning of the game and when I played through the first race in the main mode, it kept interrupting my race with pop ups. I couldn't race with the constant interruptions, and since my memory card was full, I couldn't save and see if it would stop interrupting my races.

Is this a first race issue? If you save your progress does it stop interrupting your races? I couldn't find an option to turn it off in the options/settings menu.

I couldn't believe a racing game would treat the gamer like s/he was that brain dead.

I really liked Burnout 3, but I disliked this game and was wondering if it was because I didn't have a save slot for it?

It's only at first, fortunately, but I agree it's terribly annoying... way to break the flow of the game...

by the way, is it me or does it look uglier than 3 and Revenge ...prolly because it shared its release with the PSP.....

Yeah it does. I wasn'y impressed that much with it.
How is Test Drive Unlimited compared to it? I could snag the PC version for $10, IIRC.

I really like Burnout 3 on the XBOX. It's too bad I got shafted on buying a steering wheel for the XBOX as I wanted to play a number of racing games with one.

At least I got my money refunded...

test drive unlimited on ps2 also suffers from the fact it shares the release with the psp, but I found it to be a fun game regardless....

Burnout Dominator on PS2 prolly looks slightly better than TDU, because TDU's graphics also suffer because it uses a large environment.

that's a very nice game, despite the bugs it has:
