i been waiting for this game for decade xD
I'll just have to wait a little more till the stand along version for cheaper deal, and might as well let Valve polished up any remaining crashes and squish any bugs.

For now I just cracked up on some game play video on TF2 till i can get my hand on my personal favorite FPS with TONS of humor twisted hahahaha hhohohooo

Here's some funny video game play. I just luv their death moaning when getting wack/stab lol just like in TFC

sinper and spy are my favorite xD I'll make an ownage killing video when i get my hand on this going to be "Game of the Year"

I dunno if TF2 could be called GOTY, but a contender, probably.

I really look forward to playing it, but I don't want to buy the orange box at all either, I'll probably... Dunno... Try it at a friend home? Until they sell it as a stand-alone Multi game, once they do that I'll buy it right away.

Valve know that their sales would be lower if they were releasing each games alone, a lot of peoples only want EP2 of HL, others only want TF, some want Portal (which doesnt look too bad), ect.

But by releasing it in a bundle only, they can definitly force anybody who want them badly to buy all of them at the same time even if they only wanted one of these, and then release them later as stand-alone, to sell them to everybody else.

Lame tactic for customers, good idea as far as marketing go.

indeed, same goes for the apple Iphone costing $500 for early birds, or the File planet marketing with it subscription upgrade to play Crysis beta. Those are lame as llama poop marketing, works on millions, but smart one will wait xD

Crysis imo is over hyped, game look great on video with it single player, the real thing is all about laughing your azz off after being blow up, club other guy to death or having tons of fun via online muliplayer. I think TF2 delivery that.

I'm playing the TF2 beta right now and is pretty good, some crashes and no music on background but im ok with that anyway is a beta. Btw the orange box is a pretty good deal for people like me that didn't buy HL2:EP1.

Uhh yah, it looks cool and all, but untill they put the nades in. I'll stick to Fortress Forever..

Nades make TFC. Conc jumping, Shotgun/nade toss combos, sentry gun nailbombing, etc. Valve better clear this glaring fault up before it's acctualy released...

No nades = NOT TFC.

Ive been playing TF2... sadly I have some weird lagging issue (yay, another game not working right) so I'll have to look into getting that problem fixed first. I think I have a similar problem with other valve mp games... even the old HL1 engine ones.
Probably vista, or the sound card driver, or something... sigh... and just when I thought Id finally had things running relatively right.

I have, and they removed one of the biggest parts of the game, period. The whiney masses got to them and they noobed it up by removing a MAJOR part of the game's mechanics. Learning how to defend against conc jumpers is an art, and only fools just spam nades and don't have them when they really need them.

Was it that hard for them to implement nades but add a option when creating a server to make servers without nades?

That way everybody would be happy...

8800gtx, intel core2 6700... already managed to verify it's not Vista or the soundcard.

still there, but maybe I should be blaming the wlan... however I can't easily change that right now.

*edit* changed the wlan driver, which does seem to make a difference; it does not entirely solve it but at least it's a lot more playable now...
Time to reconsider the use of wlan when I'm moving in December

*edit2* confirmed, it's the wlan.

Good thing the game is Team Fortress 2 and not Team Fortress Classic. TF2 represents an evolution in the basic Team Fortress gameplay, not a simple rehash of crap. Keep what works and remove the garbage like grenades. Good game design is not only decided to what to include, but also to figure out what should be removed to make the game fun. I used to play TFC a hell of a lot back in high school but stopped because I was having absolutely no fun with all of the grenade stuff. I don't care about it being more skillful or anything, it just wasn't fun at all. Although I wish they included a Hunted map with this release.
